Sue I used my friend Franoy's sue skeleton as a base. http://franoys.deviantart.com/art/Tyrannosaurus-rex-skeletal-diagram-FMNH-PR-2081-640670460 Edited by Paleop, Feb 13 2017, 02:03 PM.

![]() -Weight Painting finished (may get more fine tuning if I deem it needed) -Scaled to meters I tried swapping hendrix's Allosaur model in his wwd pack with my rex model to see what it would do in game... result: slightly distorted yellow flashing wire frame of doom To do: I assume what I have to do next is unwrap and texture the model. (someone please correct me if I'm wrong) •and set the material Edited by Paleop, Feb 17 2017, 04:36 PM.

Note: clear all object scales in blender and enter the scale value you'd set in blender into the XMLs' scale values. Flashing means your model either has no material begin with, or you have one and did not include the new Materials folder & BFMAT file in the Z2F. |

I'm not dead yet I took a break and decided the model needs updating, I got several anatomical features slightly wrong. I'm going for as efficient polygon placement as I can get. I have already made some major improvements for example the eye is not better structured and faces at a more forward angle. I will soon have the updated concept art to compare some other changes. T. rex head close-up I have also considered experimenting with some soft tissue. T. rex was a 8 tonne predator built like a meat bulldozer after all. I will likely try to add in accordance with rule 4.1 will keep y'all updated as I work on it. btw, Huge thanks to Incinerox and Samosaurus! |

So, Funny thing about paleontology... Things tend to change.... So some scale impressions got published recently, which have brought up some concerns for thermoreulation in T. rex, As a result I have chosen to keep feathers to an elephantine level. (1st update) I have worked out some kinks in my T. rex model (a few n-gons and floating vertices) as well as shaved off some polygons and removed most triangles. The model is nearly complete. ![]() T. rex multi-view (top-side-front-bottom I have also played around with the Eudeloceros bfb to make something. This animal sadly was only a cameo in game, so here's a hypothetical of what it look like as an adoptable animal in game. (going to be using this to practice/ learn the exporting, uv wraping etc.process) Wip BF model edit animal if requested I will compare to the unedited bf model Interestingly the lod model changes when you edit the bfb models. I take it they are code generated instead of being made separately. Intriguing, though not what I expected XD . |

The T. rex could still have some feathers on the back and arms. I think something like the hood of a vulture would still be accurate. The model looks really nice though. |

Wow! Your T.rex is amazing, I cannot wait to see it fully done (feathered, off course) Will the chicks be fluffy covered by proto-feathers? The deer seems to be good, in comparison to genuine BF one is a lot better. Great job!

Awesome work! I don't usually concern myself too much with extinct animals, but your model is amazing. I love the topology, it's almost soothing to look at Props on keeping the vert count relatively low (for such a large animal), too!
