There is always something going on...

Is there any scientific evidence of dreams possibly meaning something?

I AM THE UNSHRINKWRAPPER!

As far as I know, very little of what your mind (as separate from your brain) does can be described scientifically.

Dream theory is generally disregarded by most psychologists. I suppose some dreams could have a basic meaning or mechanism (i.e. having falling dreams when the muscles are very relaxed, dreaming about a particular event around the anniversary of it happening), but most don't so they could be considered meaningless.

So it is just my mind being weird about certain things?

I wouldn't phrase it that way, but like I said most dreams don't really have any reason behind them. If anything is significant with them it'd probably be just a general idea or something (unless it's a memory or something to that effect.)

Are you having any really odd dreams lately?

A theory says that some dreams are brain's experiences , searching to find if this or that is dangerous irl . But ofc it's not accepted by everyone ...

Yes, and repetitive with slight variation.

I'm sure some dreams do have meaning, for my mom once had a dream that she found her missing MP3 player in a file cabinet. Later that day, she found it, in the file cabinet.
But then some are total nonsense, for I had a dream about a bush that was floating in the middle of a lake.

So I guess some can have meanings to it, but I don't know of any actual scientific research with it.

I have of similar cases of people solving their problems via drams; but could that be attributed to the brain relaying a memory she could not really access for some reason?

Well it is logical that the brain processes active and dormant memories during dreams, including the ones that are stored deep inside that you "can't remember".

Stress has also been linked to vivid/disturbing dreams if that's what you're experiencing. Since stress causes the fight or flight reaction in most people it can kind of translate over to their dreams, and so they'll experience it there.

Just don't be like me and get to the point where you're so stressed that you have a hard time distinguishing dreams from reality.

Well, I had a dream two nights ago where a huge tsunami wiped out the entire earth.
Does this mean anything? :P
