I would like to create my own zoo tycoon 2 Machinima. I downloaded fraps today but I would also like to download a software to edit my videos (so I can add subtitles, effects, music, etc). Any recommendations?

I would like to have some, too. I have bandicam, and i would like better and more longer footage.(Also does this count as reviving a dead post? Its around a month and a 4 days old, and i didnt want to make a new thread whilst this one exists)

Thank you so much for replying to my post!

Since no one replied a month ago, I did some research and downloaded Sony Vegas Pro. Its nice and I am still learning basics of it. (I honestly don't know if this counts as reviving a topic or not)

Windows Movie Maker, the latest one, should be quite good for adding effects, musics, sounds, and the other things that are necessary to machinimas.

Audacity should be very good for editing musics and sounds in case, you want to use several sounds together, though, the audio, kinda awkward to me, but that should be fine.

Free Audio Editor (2015 - Latest version?) should have the audio at the better quality, though, the free version will not be able to export the edited audio to .MP3 formats, as the function is only available for the full version, but, you can export it as .WAV or other formats, and convert it to .MP3, if necessary.

Well, i found something which may be useful, im testing it at the moment, its called CamStudio? Also, anyone got some music which i won't get striked on, specifically, music resembling the Alien theme and Tribal music. Also I got windows movie maker, im going to try it.

You should try Google, or Kevin MacLeod.

yeah, fraps is good, but only films for 30 seconds at a time in trial version, when I used to use it I filmed it as if it was a real movie, with proper cinematography, also windows movie maker is good but it has a limit of 60 shots. Premier pro can be better but costs money and is much more complex.

Thanks, Ill go check it. Also on a side note, im not that great at building normal buildings, anyone know any good tutorials to use? The only thing i would say im decent at building would be spacecraft. EDIT: Here is a useful link for soundeffects here also, these links here and here.

fraps is good but records for 30 seconds so what i did was if it went off i would go back and do the scene in between one scene and the other it skipped also i recommend to get a good few mods and if you want stuff like zombies and all you should check out dannybobs twitter page

Sony Vegas for Editing everything, sound, effects all of it.

Fraps for Recording - Full Version is preferable. and it's only 10 dollars, not much at all....

and thats basically it for your equipment...

unless you need audio recording, use audacity.

and if you want custom weapons, or other stuff in your video.

Use Garry's mod, and record on a greenscreen and add the chroma key effect.

very simple. ;)

these are what I use, so I know this method works very well.
