http://novataxa.blogspot.ca/2016/10/austroposeidon.html Austroposeidon magnificus. At only 25 meters long, It's on the small side when you compare it to goliaths like Argentinosaurus, but it's nothing to sneeze at. Seems to be a sister taxon to Lognkosauria and it was found in Brazil, not Argentina, making it half again the largest sauropod from that country. Edited by Acinonyx Jubatus, Oct 6 2016, 05:56 PM.

Still though for sauropod standards that's fairly big of not average |

Well, of course it's a gargantuan dinosaur, just not quite at the same level as the other giant titanosaurs. |

I'd like to sign this letter on behalf of western Canada, please. The number of South American sauropods is getting slightly ridiculous. |

You've gotta admit, Austroposeidon is a fantastic name. |

Count me in too. AFAIK the only Canadian sauropod fossil we have so far is a trackway from somewhere in BC. Edited by CyborgIguana, Oct 7 2016, 01:26 PM.
