So apparently, according to the paper, this would make Drepanosaurus somewhat comparable to modern silky anteaters in their foraging behaviour. I can't recall any other mesozoic tetrapod which actually follows this up after Drepanosaurus went extinct. Something to think about, I suppose. Edited by Incinerox, Oct 7 2016, 09:07 AM.

Fruitafossor and to a lesser extent Spinolestes are exaples of mammals thought to be "anteaters", though none are arboreal. Alvarezsaurs are sometimes interpreted as "anteaters" as well, though also terrestrial Edited by heliosphoros, Oct 7 2016, 02:22 PM.
