Best thing about it is that it's actually got a really kickass name that isn't placenamesaurus or Peoplesaurus or Somethingodon. It's actually named after a reptile-owning sea god.

Kaikaifilu is awesome.

I AM THE UNSHRINKWRAPPER!

I was waiting for someone to post this. Does anyone know what its distinguishing features are, or does it seem to basically be a Tylosaurus copy?

Most of the distinguishing features wouldn't be particularly obvious, slight differences in proportions of the individual skull bones and things like that.

Its most distinctive feature is probably its heterodont dentition, which is unique among tylosaurines. Otherwise, there size and shape of the skull seems very similar to Tylosaurus.

I thought Globidens and other mollusk feeding Mosasaurs also had heterodont dentition.

Very cool discovery, it will take some effor t to memmorize that name, though.
