Slight bit of a delay, just getting my project filter to work with it's icon and selection circle.
I have also noticed that I have to adjust the biome scores, unless I want it to be wandering the polar ice... >.>
But don't get discouraged, it will be released. ;)

Edit: I got it all figured out; download below. B-)

Thank you very much, and I will, after cooling my brain off for a day or two, since these things appear to not take much more than a week or two to code, model, etc, it won't be long before my next release, which will either be the Teaser for Before the Dinosaurs, or a Titanotylopus spatulus remake. ;)

Nothing new to show yet, but I fixed some bugs with the Castoroides. Please redownload.

Hey man, I always want to comment in this thread and something comes up to interrupt. I just want to say that the Platyhystrix looks great (I admit I have a bias towards the brown body with green sail scheme because of the Macmillan encyclopedia), and hope you didn't gave up on that three headed cobra dragon! :D It looks really cool!

That was intended to be a Tross Hooded Hydra, a creature from an RPG I'm writing.

And you may soon get to have the Platy, I just need to get a few things figured out.

Now when you say remake, do you me a reskin of Blue Fang's ugly Giant Camel... or a completely separate animal?

Also, I just love your Castoroides! I really wanna see more of the prehistoric giant versions of modern animals... actually, there's a lot of animals I'd wanna see, but this is definitely great!

I mean, remake. There's only one meaning of remake. I did not say separate version. Because I too don't want a random action-figure cartoon wandering among my AD camels... >.>

Yay! That's exactly what I wanted to hear!

Sadly though, I'm afraid the definition of 'remake' isn't as limited as you think. There's a lot of animals on the ZT2 Download Library that are called remakes, but they're totally separate animals... which sucks, because some of them have really great looking models and skins, and what more, it doesn't look like Aurora Designs is gonna get around to making them anytime soon (the extinct ones in particular).

Technically, if you know how to code, you can just repurpose those separate downloads to override the base game animals. That's what I do when I play.

And as far as my vocabulary goes, when I use the term remake, it is going to mean something that is the actual definition of the word;

re·make
verb
rēˈmāk
1. make (something) again or differently.
"the bed would be more comfortable if it were remade"

I try to be very clear-cut with my vocabulary since this board is used by many who don't have English as their first language, like myself.

Anywho, I should have some progress to show on something soon. Maybe even tomorrow. ;)

I know this is off-topic, but could you tell me how this is done, or maybe point me towards a good tutorial? I'd love to be able to take skins off of custom animals and apply them to the official ones.

It's actually the simplest ever. Takes some trial and error, but basically you just go into the .z2f with notepad or notepad plus(what I use), and edit the codenames of the animals to match the original animal, also do this with the other files, I haven't yet completely had a success with this method, but I'll send you a PM when I get it all debugged and figured out.
