There'll be no foot-walking! Just air-flying!

I could give a big jada-jada about the fact that after JFD I've decided to finish up some of the stuff I made, but I guess that we'd better just dive in.

Terrarium-blocks

Based on the code of the Rock Shelter, these blocks are made to be used as terrariums. Fit to the height of Sophie's fences, these are excellent to create your own little exhibits. Of course, you can place animals and plants on it; BUT currently a lot of items ingame are not properly coded to work with surface objects, including custom stuff. This is a bummer, and I'm trying to figure out how I'd fix that, but I can't make any promises.

4 skins are currently available, but I could add more if people have realistic options to suggest.

I've currently got three versions ingame, a flat one and two hilly ones. My goal is to make at least 5 hilly variants, and at least 5 with small pits in them.

Upcoming

  • Diagonal tiles
  • Half tiles
  • Model variants
  • Skin variants
  • Underwater models + skins
  • Floating variants ( for full tank exhibits )

Well, that's it for now. Feel free to post some suggestions ( preferably with pictures, others will be most likely ignored ), but don't expect me to make them all. I aim to make things that are realistic, so I prefer things that are actually used in zoos. There are more things coming up, but for now I'm just going to focus on these blocks.

I'm not sure. I'll try to make them height-adjustable just like tankwalls, but I honestly don't really see much reason to make them at different heights.

Well this is something I really like! And all the variants you plan to make sound cool!
As for suggestion, what about one made with bark chips substrate ? (Link1 Link2)

So, they are just shelters that you can place items into for pictures let's say? If they are coded as shelters, I am assuming that means the animals can just walk out, correct?

Actually the brown one is one made with woodchips. I should have mentioned it, but the 4 types are tan sand, red sand, woodchips and moss.

Thanks though !

Not really no. They are coded to fit in the shelter tab (mostly because I didn't want them in the scenery tab ), and the surface coding is based upon the surface coding used in the original Rock Shelter. They function like Snowleo's blocks. As long as you put fences along the side, animals should be able to climb of them.

"animals should be able to climb of them."

Do you mean shouldn't?

These look great Iben! None of the tools that we have in game right now are very helpful to working on this small scale for floors so these will be very helpful.

Also I don't want to pester you but i was just wondering if your default theme remake for JFD was something that you were looking at finishing up and releasing?
