Another Sunday, another update! Let's just jump into some new bioregions, shall we ?

Maritime Swamp is a coastal wetlands bioregion, found near tropical coasts. Most maritime swamps are dominated by mangroves.

I have a question, are these biomes gonna be all in one file when released, or packs of biomes?

just wondering.

It depends, I'm going to release a big file for sure, but I'll also release a version without extinct bioregions for those who aren't interested in those.

Thanks for the comments guys, I really appreciate it! :like:

I'm curious about how this will affect gameplay...It's really a wonderful project, but can ZT2 handle it? I'm wondering this because I know many ZT2 struggles with large maps, lots of animals/guests, and such. More and larger downloads seem to make this problem worse too... I'm not sure if this download will have those same problems, but I was wondering if it could.

From my understanding, this is due to the software that ZT2 was built on, and there's not much that can be done about it? I've thought I saw some people trying to crack this, but I haven't heard much about it lately.

It's a shame we haven't had a new tycoon-like zoo game in a while. We've only had watered down versions that are nothing like what ZT and ZT2 were like...

I've been playing with over 50 biomes for several years now, and I only have 4gb of RAM unlike most modern computers/laptops. So far I never ran into problems with the biomes itself ;) Besides, my biome remakes often use less skins, models etc. than traditional ones :P

The "zdetail" could have given a problem, but I've spent the past years perfecting methods for low-poly plant design, and in combination with carefully planned LODS and a lot of experimentation, so far I had nothing that broke my game :P

Because I just got my new pc and I'm still setting up all my programs, there won't be a Bioregion update today. However, here's a little treat for you all!
