I know I ask a lot of questions here, but I'm a curious guy, so here it goes. Is it possible to make custom skeletons in the fossil building-minigame? Instead of using existing skeletons with edits, could it be possible to make a completely new shape, for, let's say, a sauropod or anything that doesn't really have a close base animal in EA. (Something like a snake for example). |

I would think so,![]() This is the fossil from HENDRIX's Cryptoclidus. |

It looks different, but if you look close enough it actually uses the same shape as the Aurochs. HENDRIX used it very cleverly, and I'm not saying it's bad, I'm just wondering if the overall shape of the outline can be redrawn. |

It can. I've done it with my Paraburnetia. It's a lot more complicated, though- you have to go into the fossil's .bfb file and manually edit the position of the nodes, and you need pinpoint accuracy in order to make it look good. |

Yep. I think I've done it once as well, but I don't recall which animal that was.

Thanks for the reply guys! So, as I suspected, it's possible but difficult. Don't know why this stuff interests me. I've been thinking about giving designing a try, most probably in the summer when I have time. Though I doubt I'll get far, my experience with modding is an absolute zero.

Sorry for double-posting, but I have a new and completely unrelated question. Instead of making a new topic though I'd just post it here. Were there really plans for an edmontosaurus, irish elk, and argentinosaurus in the original EA? I have heard these rumors spread around a lot but can't find any source. Does anyone know if there's any truth to it? |

This is false as far as we know. The Edmontosaurus rumor is because someone mistook another animal in the original trailer for it for some reason. I've seen people try to spread around that this is the case but I've yet to hear any of them actually say where they heard it from. |
