Hey guys! This is totally just for fun but I was wondering what all of you do to make your games feel more like you are running a real zoo. For example I like naming all my animals and coding them so they have more realistic lifespans and pregnancies. Does anyone else do this sort of thing or am I just weird xd?

I'm not slow! That's just my moe!

I always change everything to use actual in-game years for life spans. I also remove their food and water and biome and space needs so that I can make the most realistic enclosures possible. Sometimes I increase social or exercise needs so they still move around.

How do you guys code the life years? That would be cool? I usually try to adopt animals that would survive the overall climate. So if I have the Large GrassLand Zoo that seems to be based in California, I only adopt North American animals and try to avoid the Northern ones

Notepad ++, I assume it's free but can't really say since I wasn't the one who installed it.

Use 7-zip to open the archive of a z2f and edit the xml files using which every document program (Notepad) you have.
