Man I'd love if you could do these with modern-day animals too! They're simply AMAZING, and a must-have for a museum in ZT2 :O
Actually anyone can make a diorama if they want: all of my models are PD! :D But of course, when I get to make modern and prehistoric animals I'll include diorama versions of them as well, and maybe even others that used models by other creators.

One of the dioramas I'd love to make would be one about prehistoric humans.

Also I have one question. Are you gonna make fututistic theme scery (bench, donation box, shops) for zt2? The future is wild set could look good just like after man set

Certainly! :D Still have no idea how their design will be, but an After Man-themed donation box is on the list for next part.

Anyways, it's finally time, everyone! Let's head over to the museum!

Looks like there's going to be a big event there! We-

"Welcome to the headquarters of the National Chronographic Society, publishers of the ultra-famous National Chronographic Datazine!"

Posted Image
"After an extensive period of renovations, our museum will finally open to the public again! And as a celebratory event we'll be hosting a very special exhibition in our exposition hall: Animals of the Future - The World After Man."

Posted Image
"The interest in speculative evolution has risen in the 21th century, and the public now wishes to see the fauna of future periods. Our engineers worked hard to perfect the Chronospheres to better travel forward in time, and our chrononauts have already documented a great variety of its exotic creatures and had their samples collected for further studies. The Wold Zoo Association approached us with the offer to exhibit these animals to the public in zoos. Since zoo owners are already remarkably reckless by freeing extinct animals into the modern world wilderness, we agreed that it was fair game to clone future animals as well!"

Posted Image
"The council urged that before more exotic and potentially dangerous creatures are recreated, zoos that wish to experiment with futuristic fauna should play safe at first and exhibit less hazardous species. As such our scientists are happy to announce the first future animal DNA available for the zoos: a Fin Lizard, a reptile from 50 million years hence. They seem to be adapting nicely, but they appear unable to reproduce; we'll be working to solve this soon! Good luck for all zoo tycoons!

Alright alright, enough sillyness. :p I apologize for the cringy post, I don't know what I was thinking with such obscure reference, and I'll be amazed if anyone even gets it. But I'm happy to release the first part of the After Man pack that isn't a teaser because it actually comes with an animal!

My deepest thanks go to Zoker who helped turning it into reality! :D This is my first ever ZT2 animal that isn't just a recolor, and the first of my long time dream of putting After Man animals in Zoo Tycoon. To put things into perspective, this is what it looked like in 2005 when I made fake sprites as planning for the ZT1 version of the pack:

So thanks for anyone who was looking forward to this release, I hope to make a lot more in the future! :D

I'm not, sorry :x I just made these at the time for fun.

And thanks for the comments everyone, I''m happy to see the pack is having such positive feedback :3 . I WAS taking a break this weekend after working non-stop in the pack in my free time, but I ended up modelling again because I'm a freak. I got really inspired to make more of the Future is Wild side of specs, so here's the semi-finished model of the Toraton:

Posted Image

The Toraton is a humongous chelonid that inhabits the marshes of Asia 100 million years hence. At that period the world became hot and warm once again after the last ice age ended and the the glaciers melt, causing tropical forests and swamps to cover the land, and incentivating the development of many types of animals.

Also I'd like to reassure that the Shovel-Horned Gigantelope and the Falconfly are still being worked on. I had to remove them from the release due to time constraints. And I'll be redoing the Falconfly because I wasn't satisfied with the low quality it had.

On the After Man side, I'm planning to make the Long-Necked Gigantelope and the Horrane of the canon animals, and since people seemed to like the Batelope and Lemurian predator ideas, I feel inspired to make a third original creature to complement the After Man universe: a future Echidna. Here's a rough sketch of what I'm aiming to make:

Well, that's it for now. :D Stay well everybody.

I've always wanted a toraton for zt2, this will be a wonderful addition to our zoos and parks, as it said in the program it was as large as some of the largest dinosaurs, are you gonna attempt to make a swampus?

Love the Toraton!! I would suggest using HENDRIX's Borealosaurus animations for this.

Is the Borealosaurus animations the same his Argentinosaurus is using in the WWD pack? I feel like the Apatosaurus/Diplodocus animations convey better the feeling of heaviness necessary.

I'll model it of course, but I'm unsure of how it would work as an functional animal. Since it moves on land by dragging itself I would use the sea turtle animations - which, by the way, will be the animations for walrus-like animals like AM's Distarterops and FiW's Gannetwhale since the seal animations don't look very good for them; just like at the AD remake of the Walrus, the texture and modelling is simply amazing, but it using the seal animations make it look really awkward.

One more preview for the day, the finished model with unfinished texture:

Still want some more folding in the skin, and need to implement the claws and the shell, as well as adjusting the coloration a bit, but overall I'm quite liking it :3
