Finished the Toraton texture! :D

And I got so pumped I already added it to the game! Here's how it looks in it:

I probably always say that, but I love how it turned out :3 Can't wait to see how it will look like as an animal!

Next on my list is the Horrane - really wanted to make it for some time now - but this week will be quite a busy one for me, so I might not update as often as I'd like. :x Still, hope I get some nice stuff to show soon!

Agree, It's good. What animations will it use? As for Toraton sauropod or galapagos turtle animationc could be good. For Horrane-Maybe cheetach or gelada.

Annoyingly I had lots of internet problems these past few days, so I was unable to show any of the progression, but on the bright I got the Horrane model and texture finished already! :D Here's a preview:

I did my best to calculate its size and body proportions since the illustration in the book with the two Horranes have them a little off from one another. x_x I mean, I understand there being differences when a illustrator makes two of the same thing in a scene, but the two Horranes have some serious inconsistence problem with its proportions:

In the end I mixed the legs that actually reached the ground with the slim body and the long tail, and the face I tried the best I could to shape it in a way that resembles both from their respective angles, so it should be a decent approximation of what Horrane should look like as a static model.

For the Toraton it will be Hendrix's Apatosaurus/Diplodocus animations from his WWD pack. He did an amazing job of replicating the feeling of weight in their movements,so I think it will be a perfect fit. (Speaking of the Toraton, I rewatched the episode he appears, and noticed the shell arrangement is slightly off; that's already adjusted)

For the Horrane it will use ZT2's own big cats animations, yes. The original creature is meant to replicate the overall shape and behaviour of felines, after all.

Hi again everybody; I apologize for the lack of updates, I didn't had much free time lately, and add that to the fact I'm still having internet issues (right now I'm struggling to even post this) means I wasn't as active as I wished to be :x . Fortunately I got one model semi-finished enough to show, so here's a preview of it:

This is one of the three future horses mentioned previously that Dixon made for the Westphalian Horse Museum. They aren't really part of After Man, but as I said before, I'll be revamping things as needed and trying to fit in all the "extras" one way or the other. Plus it's a neat way to populate the less-explored parts of the After Man world; want to know how many North American animals are there canonicaly? a whopping FIVE, so yeah North America maaaaay be a bit underpopulated, and could very well use these.

The future horses are the main inhabitants of the California Island that split from the mainland and became a sort of relic region were the feral horses that inhabited the region could prosper anmd evolve into the three forms depicted in Dixon's illustration.

The way I see it, the three horses demonstrate the three most common trends in evolution: increase in size, decrease in size, and lengthening of limbs. The giant horse is a heavy browser who feeds on the trees of the island, and possess a thick, rhino-like skin, which added to its overall shape, results in a sort of mini-Indricotherium.

Well, that's it for now. Stay well everyone :D and hope I get to solve my internet issues so I can keep it updated!

I got really inspired to make another of Future is Wild's animals, so today apart from the Giant Horse I also worked on the Ocean Flish. Given its smaller size and relative simplicity, I got quite a lot done with the model and texture, so it makes for a nicer preview :3 :

Speaking of the Future is Wild, one object that will be in the next part will be a FiW themed musical box (because it can be easily duplicated from the AM one, just receiving the appropriate model and texture). Future is Wild have a really good score, but unfortunately the only one I ever found that's isolated from any diologue or sound effect is the intro someone uploaded on youtube:

It's rather short but possess some of the motifs from the other musics, it might make for a decent music box. :D
