Seconds after I said the exact same thing via PM ![]() And before I made this fence I was unsure if I would get to make many of them, but seeing as how easy it is, definitely! Besides, ZT1 doesn't have THAT many fences.![]() Edited by Panrex, Oct 5 2017, 10:06 PM.

My childhood right there I played ZT1 at least as long as ZT2 so I remember it fondly. You did an amazing work, it looks a lot like the original (enough to trick my brain for a bit with the first ingame pic). Can't wait to see more!

I assume you mean the Ravene, Rapide, and Janiset; why, there's no reason not to! I mean, I want all and every AM animal after all Though exactly WHEN I'll make them I can't say for sure as my projects are all over the place and I only seem to work on them when I'm in the mood to do so I mean, I found that forcing myself to finish things up just ends up wielding pretty bad results, so in order to achieve a level of quality I'm pleased with, I address each project bit by bit.So yeah, hi everyone! Still working on my projects in a rather slow pace, but there are a few things to show! I have a bunch of projects to keep track of, so I'll write how each is doing in this post (as I still haven't updated my initial post for this thread to do that, oh well):Dino Digs Eletricfied Fence ![]() I'm still cracking my head trying to figure out how to make the custom gate animation (I just need a little focus to make it, I'm sure). Otherwise the fence is pretty much finished! only their broken state is missing; the pole, fence, gate, and door are all moddelled and textured, so once I get the animation going it will be finished. ![]() Entertainers ![]() That's right! I haven't forgotten that pack I was planning! Again, I still lack rigging and animation skills, but the other day I had a hunch that perhaps I could make a new entertainer using the BF one as a base by changing the head model, which is separated from the body, so I quickly did a test. And it worked! Of course, it would still have the unfortunate cubic body of the BF entertainer, but with a new head. More like a "proof of concept" kind of thing since it's not a complete makeover, but please let me know if you guys would be interested in entertainers done this way. I of course will make the textures properly and make a bunch of animals. Also the head ended up too big in that picture. But since it's not the final product, just ignore it. ![]() Prehistoric Flora pack I found some new textures to improve my Araucarites; I just need to adjust it, make a duplicate with half its size and I think I'll release it as a standalone download. It's not that I don't like making the prehistoric plants, but I always seem to be inspired to make something else when I start them... ![]() After Man/Future is Wild pack There's not much of interest to show as I just did some minor adjustments on the Toraton and I'm finishing up the Flish model. Once they're done I need to make the Horrane dioramas (one is another individual statue to show the animal on its own, much like how I did with the Night Stalker one), create a FiW-themed music box and I'll release this part. After that I'll have to replenish my creative juice for the Specs as I'm quite inspired to make something else right about now! Something more... DINOSAURY! That's right! I'm really, really inspired to make something dinosaur-related at the moment! But how can I make myself different from other dinosaur-related projects from our community? Why, by turning my back to progress of course! Grossly-Outdated Dinosaur pack! ![]() Way, way back when I got involved with the ZT2 community I very briefly mentioned a vintage dinosaur pack; well, now that I can actually model, I realized I can finally make it a reality! I was really inspired by Bunyupy's vintage Tyrannosaurus and Triceratops statues; however by now their quality doesn't reflect Bunyup's skill level (or the rest of the game), and their pose is quite stactic too, so I would love to build somethig based on that. So yes, I apologize for those who were expecting something more modern, but the truth is I feel like prehistoric fauna is decently covered in ZT2, and quite frankly there are others, more skillfull creators making more accurate reconstructions elsewhere, I'm afraid that I can only offer giant lizars with lots of drab colors, tail-dragging, and swamp dwelling because they offer more freedom. Personally I have a great deal of love for these outdated reconstructions; they have their own old-fashioned charm and something about them quite often make them more believable than many modern depictions of extinct fauna. This pack is my tribute to that simpler time of paleontology as well as the great artists of those times. For the Tyrannosaurus specifically, the body is a mix of Zallinger's and Sinclair's, with a very bulky torso (referred to as "potbellied" by heretics. HERETICS I SAY!), very small arms, and a very elongated tail. The skull has features in common with the the old Allosaurus-like reconstruction that tried to speculate how the then incomplete skull looked like, as well as the skull properly. Also of note, Tyrannosaurus back when was reconstructed as a real giant. Next to it is JPOG's Rex, which I believe is only slightly bigger then the current estimative for the Tyrannosaurus size, and you can see how it's dwarfed by the vintage one. Well, regardless of your opinion on outdated dinosaurs, I hope people appreciate it for the artistic value And if you're a fan of vintage dinosaurs like me, then this pack is for you!

Making outdated dinos is an interesting idea, sure. Can't wait to see them in-game. Btw how old reconstructions are you gonna use? Is there any chance to see lizard-like iguanodon or quadrapedal megalosaurus? |

Oh my stars! You managed to amaze and surprise me again! I thought it was impossible to make ZT1 dinosaur fences for ZT2, or at least no one would ever try to do it. Funny thing is I was gonna ask for this myself, but I feared I would be pestering people and thus get another warning. Anywho, I have some questions: 1-If memory serves me right, there are electric fences in ZT2 as well that shock animals when they touch them. In theory, you could use their programming and make your DD fences electric as well. So would you be making your fences electric or will they remain only reinforced? 2- ![]() 3-Will they be more expensive or cheaper than their ZT1 counterparts? Also, will they be separate downloads or bundled together in a pack with other stuff? 4-Are you planning on making the other 4 Dinosaur Digs reinforced exhibit fences as well? I found some pictures you can look at and use as reference while modelling them. Hope they will help you. Good luck and best of wishes. ![]() ZT1 Dinosaur Fences Spoiler: click to toggle

Yesssss, vintage dinosaurs! I still have a bunch of old cards lying around that have some seriously out of date dinosaurs on there. I love how simple they were. Would be good for museums to show how far we've come in deducing what they looked like! Will vintage Iguanodon be on the list? ![]() |

Lol since there's a bunch of requests, here's one that you can choose to take seriously, or not, at your discretion:![]() If you could code "Dinner in the Iguanodon" into an actual place where guests can eat, you will forever have my thanks and favor. |

Looks like my vintage dinosaur pack idea is receiving quite the positive reception! That was unexpected, to be honest. For one, I'm glad that they aren't as reviled as one would think; thanks for the comments!@WorkowatyWilczek: It varies from animal to animal, but each is composed with the features I feel are most aesthetically pleasing; a few will receive more than one reconstruction, but at the time I have only one of these planned. Sure, I can add Waterhouse's reconstructions too! Seems like they're quite popular by what I'm seeing. @TheCrimsonFKing666: 1- Indeed there are two, and in fact I'm using the heavy one as a base in the screenshots (you may spot the usual gate in there because I still haven't replaced it properly). Can't actually remember if the ZT2 fences being electric actually MEAN anything, though. 3- The exact same price as the original: $350. It's the ultimate fence for dinosaur containment! These fences will come with their matching observation area canopies. But I will make more ZT1 objects later on. 4- Certainly! As soon as the DD gate is done (which requires the custom animation as the gate slides up), it's only a simple step to make the other ones. Also thanks, but I have my ZT1 up and running whenever I need it, so I have access to all refences I need ![]() @Serpyderpy: Iguanodon is definitely on the list. It's a pretty iconic one from those times, after all! (also, that last pictures hahaha) @magpiealamode: That's an odd idea Not even sure HOW it could be done; lots of coding black magic, I assume. The elevation makes it difficult, otherwise it could be a very big picnic table I suppose. And for today's bonus: the progress on the Tyrannosaurus coloring: ![]() ![]() ![]() This color scheme is a personal favorite of mine, and one that occasionally appeared in older dinosaur books.

If you did decide to tackle the project, the execution would of course be up to you. A big picnic table could work, or you could make it a little more your own and code it out of a restaurant? Or do something I haven't mentioned. It just seems like a nice object/building to go with the pack. Lovely progress on the Retro rex by the way! Edited by magpiealamode, Oct 17 2017, 10:22 PM.

Restauraunt wouldn't work I think since guests just enter it and... Go to limbo I guess. I could investigate how the gazebo does it since it's slightly elevated, and then mix it with how the picnic table does it with the seats. At least that's how I can imagine it could be done; otherwise it can be a themed table at ground level. |
