Do you mean it cracked when you tried to remove the disks? Also you could have had one of the copies that did not work. |

On jeez, this'll make me feel old. I started my Zoo Tycoon career with the Nintendo DS version years ago before I got ZT1 Complete Collection for PC. I always played on the unlimited money map from Marine Mania 1, since I could get all the dinosaurs right off the bat. I got ZT2 Extinct Animals after I saw an ad for it in a kid's magazine, and I eventually got the rest in individual discs. I still have those same discs intact on my shelf right now, beside the old ZT2 sticker book by DK and a Marine Mania guidebook. I found out about the community through Arabian Nights and Island Excursions, and on a rainy day while taking a break from Christmas decorating I finally figured out how to get them into my game. My grandma didn't like me downloading things onto her laptop, and I was eventually forced to remove them. Once I was given the laptop, I filled that sucker up with sooooo many downloads of varying quality. I've been playing this game consistently since then for nearly a decade now. The first site I became active on was Gaia or Northern Skies, and I've spent the majority of my community time here. It was only a few years ago in freshman year that I had to stop using those old discs when my new laptop didn't have a CD drive. With my current ISO setup, however, I plan on playing this game for another decade if I can. ZT2 has been a big part of my life for so long, and has been my favorite game alongside Pokemon this whole time. I might not be the most active member here, but ZT2 is always in my heart. |

I always loved animal games as a kid so when I was four or five my grandma got me the Zoo Tycoon 2 Demo. I loved it, and this eventually lead to all the other Demos, then Zoo Tycoon 2, then the Ultimate Collection, then Zoo Tycoon 1 as well. I tried to get mods for so long but it never worked until I figured out a little bit about computer files a few years later and downloaded a cassowary as my first mod. As it has with a lot of people, the game stuck with me for twelve years and while I don't showcase my parks as much, I still get my weekly fix of throwing together an exhibit or two. |
