PROJECT NAME: Dinosaurs (model from Blender, created by me)
FINISHED: Meshing
NEED TO BE MADE: Other meshing edits, skinning, coding, rigging, icons...
PERMISION TO RELEASE IT WHEN IT'S FINISHED: Yes

Hello everyone:

Three years ago I downloaded Blender to try 3D modeling. Over the last few summers I've been practicing to be able to create animals from simple cubes and cylinders, following a very simple tutorial published by Zerosvalmont, able to create fish, especially. Since I checked for myself that starting from scratch with a cylinder did not allow me to shape the legs of an animal, I decided to try the modeling from a cube, imagining a square anatomy that could be carved later.

I have tried to model mostly dragons, dinosaurs, and even tried to design a new dhole, without success. My first creations were not of a piece, but from cylinders inserted their extremities. Already then I realized that something was not right: the designs are modeled from a single geometric figure not too polygonal. Last year I managed to create an ankylosaurus, with many polygons. It took me a long time and, since there were other better models, I decided not to post it. Instead, I tried to perfect my technique in Blender and try to model animals that did not already have decent models of public domain. One of those classic dinosaurs, which everyone knows, is the Corythosaurus.

I've waited years for someone to create this dinosaur for Zoo Tycoon 2, but the latest models out there have not quite satisfied me, even though some were quite realistic.

Here are some pictures of the Corythosaurus I've been working on these days.

It is quite imperfect. The legs did not fit well and I would need an arrangement, which I do not see possible unless more vertices are added in that area. With Blender I think you can not do skinning well. The result of UV Mapping (the texture) is not good, but at least I have learned how it is done. Instead, I have painted it with Vertex Paint and the truth is that the color I like, although I have been inspired by one that is in Google (not exactly the same, but it seems).

I cannot finish the process because I do not know it, that is, rigging, coding, skinning, etc. Also, I do not have the Nifscope. I only know how to model. But I know that there are very well-trained people in the forum that may well end it. For my part, I have thought of trying to create other dinosaurs, such as Alamosaurus, Ornitholestes, Troodon, Hypacrosaurus or Pentaceratops. I would also like to make some extinct animal or some canine of the XXI century. Nor do I rule out perfecting this same dinosaur.

From now, I'll post here all models I've created.
