We're baaaaaaack!  Cretaceous Calamity Mysterious Map Marvels' original expansion pack, Cretaceous Calamity was due to be one of the most ambitious projects started by any designers at the time and promised many revolutions in the Zoo Tycoon 2 designing community. The release of Cretaceous Calamity had been highly anticipated among the Zoo Tycoon 2 fan base before its eventual shutdown. To the dismay of many, it seemed that Cretaceous Calamity had long been lost to the depths of time and that it was long forgotten. Now, once more ambition and revolution shall become the forefront of Zoo Tycoon 2 modding - Cretaceous Calamity is back and so are we! Who We Are Marvels 3volved is a team of talented designers, dedicated to creating custom expansion packs for Zoo Tycoon 2. The team provides a revolutionary gaming experience, pushing the limits of content creation with the first new animations, extra large maps, and custom scripts, among other things. The team's first expansion, Cretaceous Calamity, is a new take on the famed expansion of years past. It aims to represent a large variety of prehistoric creatures from the Cretaceous period, portrayed in an accurate, realistic manner. Additionally, the expansion introduces an array of revolutionary new features. Marvels 3volved is a continuation of the original team, the Mysterious Map Marvels, creators of the first user-made maps and the first complete remake of an official animal. It currently consists of the following members:

Nice work on the Mawsonia! I can't wait to make exhibits for it.  However, may I ask why the Carcharodontosaurus is a bonus download instead of a main part of the pack? Is it being remade? |

Ah, the carcharo just happens to be a bonus download and not part of the main packs. It'll probably be released alongside Pack 1 though. Also witness the glorious reveal of the... Nigersaurus A long time popular dino amongst CC fans. The nigersaurus spawned many memes when the original goofy version was revealed many years ago. With modern standards the new and improved nigersaurus while still somewhat goofy; is also accurate. The Nigersaurus looks amazing! Cant wait to have a herd of them roaming my zoo, might make a paddock for them now and whatever other herbivores that join it in its pack I just hope it doesn't forever stare at the ground Here's to hoping there's some more amazing Sauropods and other animals! Keep up the good work guys I'm so happy you guys came back |

I'm really glad to see that Marvels 3volved is still around and, what's more, have been working on CC all the while. The models and skins are all excellent, of course, but I am (as I'm sure are many others) most excited about the new code; few ZT2 modders pay great attention to it, so it's always intriguing to see what can be achieved within the confines of what is now a 15 year old game. Also, I love the aesthetic of the Nigersaurus model, it just looks like a mouth on the end of a neck haha. Edited by Turacin, Jul 9 2017, 06:20 PM.

Hot d*mn, that's one impressive model. I've strayed far from ZT2 because of the cruddy AI on all the animals, vanilla and modded. But this, this excites me. Mostly because of the promising AI. |
