- Do you make a list of animals and how many of each will go in your zoo? Occasionally. Whenever I do, I usually just stray away from it anyways so its kind of pointless in the end. - Do you draw a map beforehand and make blueprints of each exhibit? Nah, not anymore. - Where do you find inspiration? Sometimes I see an exhibit IRL I want to try and replicate a feature of. - Do you often reference real world zoos and exhibits? Same as above. - How long does it usually take you to plan? To build one exhibit? Depends on the size. Shortest can be 10 minutes, longest a few days. - How long does it take for you to finish a whole zoo? A couple months. - Have you ever finished an entire zoo? Three from what I can remember. - Do you prefer to be spontaneous (like me)? Yes, most of the time. - Do you aim for realism? Somewhat, I guess? I usually just make what I think looks cool. Since I work mostly with extinct creatures, I suppose its not that realistic to have them in zoos, so... - Have you ever gotten bored of a zoo project? Only once; it was a giant reptile house I hated the look of 3/4 of the way through. Whenever I start a zoo I make sure I'm fully dedicated to finishing it. |

Do you make a list of animals and how many of each will go in your zoo? Nope. To be honest, I usually build the exhibits and then decide what animal will fit into it. In terms of the RTZI, it's hard to have a fixed species list when trading and such, because suddenly you are offered a species you didn't plan on, but you accept it anyway because who knows? So I like to keep things very open in this sense. Do you draw a map beforehand and make blueprints of each exhibit? Nope. My zoos are very flexible in the sense that I build and delete exhibits all the time, moving animals around and creating new areas. I usually like to keep things to one map, so I can watch the zoo "living and breathing" in a sense, with the changes I make. Where do you find inspiration? Anywhere and everywhere. I also look through old S&Ts, finding exhibits that, at their time, were considered really amazing, and I try to be inspired by them, bringing the new developments of the community to older ideas. Other zoo-builders are really amazing too when it comes to inspiration. Do you often reference real world zoos and exhibits? Yes and no. I often try to look for photos of specific exhibits if I'm lacking inspiration for a particular species, but it's not something I do always. How long does it usually take you to plan? To build one exhibit? I plan and build at the same time, really. As in, I let the ideas flow as I'm working, deleting and remaking things as I go along. An exhibit takes me anywhere from ten minutes to days of constant going back and remodeling. It really just depends. How long does it take for you to finish a whole zoo? This is hard, because usually for me a zoo is finished when I decide it is finished, since I don't really plan species lists and such. However, of my newer zoos, the only ones I consider "finished" are Montpellier Zoo and Zoológico de Fátima. Both Parc Zoologique D'Avignon and Parque Ambiental ~ Noronha are definitely projects I left unfinished. I hope Charles Albert Gardens goes down the same path as the first two. Have you ever finished an entire zoo? Yup. And the feeling is great, like you've done your best and now you're letting the zoo go on existing, like an accomplishment. It's awesome. Do you prefer to be spontaneous (like me)? Hell, yes! Do you aim for realism? Sorta? Kinda? I don't actually know. I think my zoos are realistic enough, but I don't want to let realism get in the way of my potential with the game. Have you ever gotten bored of a zoo project? Way too many times to count. Although usually I have two or three projects going on at the same time, so I can alternate between them. |

- Do you make a list of animals and how many of each will go in your zoo? No. As Umpa said, the RTZI makes that quite difficult - Do you draw a map beforehand and make blueprints of each exhibit? Sometimes - Where do you find inspiration? Really life zoos. My building style matches some older zoos and buildings. One of my newest buildings is based off Dragons in Danger in Chester. Old S&Ts are helpful as well - Do you often reference real world zoos and exhibits? Yes - How long does it usually take you to plan? To build one exhibit? To build an exhibit it depends. Some I've started and just never finished but normally about an hour - How long does it take for you to finish a whole zoo? Several days of solid playing - Have you ever finished an entire zoo? Once - Do you prefer to be spontaneous (like me)? Yes - Do you aim for realism? Yes - Have you ever gotten bored of a zoo project? Many many times |

- Do you make a list of animals and how many of each will go in your zoo? Nope! I make an exhibit and then try to make it perfect to my weird standards and then hope to heavens some kind of animal will fit appropriately in it lol - Do you draw a map beforehand and make blueprints of each exhibit? Soooometimes, not very often. - Where do you find inspiration? Usually nowhere, I just fumble around with some fences, rocks, and plants and snowball it. However, I do occasionally look at pictures of zoo exhibit drawings, like actual zoo exhibit blueprints. Just the other day I built an entire tropics house from looking at one picture of the Cincinnati Zoo! - Do you often reference real world zoos and exhibits? Not often but sometimes. - How long does it usually take you to plan? To build one exhibit? Lol what even is planning? - How long does it take for you to finish a whole zoo? LITERALLY NEVER FINISHED ONE HAHAHA - Have you ever finished an entire zoo? - Do you prefer to be spontaneous (like me)? Yes. About 90% of my creations have been. - Do you aim for realism? Yes ?? Kind of ?? I mean I like all of mine to be very 'photo perfect' but I'm not too sure if it's realistic ?? My exhibits are all show and no function usually. - Have you ever gotten bored of a zoo project? Almost always. |
