When playing ZT2 I usually prefer to focus more on the animals then on the guests so tend to play freeplay mode over the others. I do though have one challenge mode zoo and have played through many of the campaign levels. Recently I was considering the financial aspect to the game. I have only been legitimately in debt once but have had a few close calls. This made me wonder if any one has any particular go to strategies that you use to bring back up your budget when your campaign or challenge zoos are running low or even in debt? I stumbled a cross my preferred strategy recently will playing through a campaign and trying to buy time till the zoo reached three stars. Due to them being available at half a star (and mabye a little because a absolutely love them), I almost always add some breed of frog to the zoo when I am doing a campaign level. All the frogs I have in my game are rapid breeders that can lay up to ten eggs at a time. The second the little ones are full grown the females are instantly ready to mate again even the newly grown ones! You could probably image the population boom I can get when I leave it unculled for just a few breeding cycles. I have modified all the animals in my game so that I get 100% of there adoption price when adopting them out. The idea being that another zoo is adopting them from me while when I "buy" animals from the catalog I am adopting the animals from another zoo. The adoption price is like a "insurance incentive " that the animal will be well cared for. I will place two females and one male in a habitat. It takes about one month for them to breed the first time usually resulting in 15 to 20 tadpoles. The tadpoles take one to two months (depends on the breed) till they are ready to go through metamorphosis. Once they have all changed I adopt out the newly morphed froglets and the parents immediately start working on the next spawn. The final tally is that for a month and a half work I can get about 24,000 dollars so its not too bad.The more adult females you add in the begaining the more tadpoles you get each breed cycle but the bigger pond you will need as well, especially if you don't have the tank filter available for purchase yet. One trick around this is to separate them into multiple smaller ponds around the zoo. As long as they have deep enough water to swim in they aren't overly picky about what type. I should note that I have the frogs the Amphibia , Amphibian and reptiles, and the common frog from the European wetlands pack. All of theses frogs( and likely many others based on I assume the Amphibia coding) seem to be affected by a bug that prevents tadpoles from under going metamorphosis while in water. I managed to fix it in my personal copy's which I will be sharing soon. |

There's a few downloads that sell for more than their buying price. I just use those before beginning a campaign so I always have enough money. Here's one: http://zt2downloadlibrary.wikia.com/wiki/Megalodon_Teeth_(Whalebite) |

I can't wait for the frog hack, I hate not having my tadpoles grow up. To make extra money I just use World of Imports dragon or Lion King statues. Place one then sell it for triple what you paid for it. Just don't put down more than a few at a time or the game will crash. They make great "need cash quick" aids in Campaign games though. |

I am a cheater as well. Back in my ZT1 days, that SHIFT+4 cheat was my BFF. Now, I tend to buy and delete the monkey bars from Slice's World of Imports as they are available near the beginning and give you a nice chunk of change after deleting them. You could also download the Adoption-Space-Biome hacks (you can find them here!). I find peafowls to be quite profitable.
