Yeah, use the new one. I don't know if it'll fix all your problems, but I do know that constraints don't work ingame unless they're baked on to the armature. |

I just read somewhere that it’s a good idea to export the animations again from the baked rig with baking turned off, which I guess makes sense. Just using the baked skeleton doesn’t seem to have much of an effect I think it’s down to nodes. At what points do you add nodes, and is it as simple as copying them from an existing animal and joining it to your rig?

So I decided to leave the t-rex for now until I can get a better understanding of nodes and decided to have a go at the raptor. I used an existing JP raptor as the base animal for the coding, and used the utahraptor rig from the game. I weighted my raptor model and all seemed fine in blender, it worked well with the utahraptors animations etc. However I put it in game and of course it doesn't work. The model deforms and is pulled in all directions, and I cannot understand why, especially as I used a vanilla rig with no editing to the rig itself, outside of weight painting. Although I have noticed, when you select the nodes "Node_front" or "Node_floor" or any of those ones while weight painting on the original utahraptor model, the model turns pink, similar to a constraint bone. However, when I apply the rig to my model this doesn't happen. The nodes have no weight to my model, but I think they seem to be effecting it. Does any one know what's going on here?

So for now I cannot figure out what is wrong. I can't get my head around why the models are distorting, nothing I do seems to change it. I reset the scales to 1, didn't work. I used/removed the "front" "Floor" etc nodes doesn't help (both have different distorting effects). I'm afraid until I can figure this out or someone can help point out what I might be doing wrong I'm gonna have to take some time away from this, I won't close the topic as I'm not giving up completely. I'll make a post soon detailing my designing process and hopefully someone can point out what i'm doing wrong. Hopefully i'll be able to get this back on track soon tho
