I'm not slow! That's just my moe!

Wrong section I think :P

Man, if you had only looked at for example the caimans or cockatoos you'd think this game had an unprecedented variety of animals, but no, they just went all out with each "batch" of animals similar enough they could add them with incredibly minimal effort.

Agree, this topic should be in the Sports&Media section, and not even in its own topic since it could just be an update of the regular ZT Xbox one.

I have to admit, that's a lot more variety that i was expecting. Is nice to see so many southamerican animals. I still think is kind of a joke to the buyers to have 8 agoutis and jaguars when they all look basically the same. Plus they are still missing a lot of basic common animals like zebras, deers, gazelles, leopards, wolves (or any canid for that matter), etc. which is dissapointing.

Not even that but most of the jaguar taxa are very dubious, some aren't even valid since 1939! (Goldman's jaguar)

To be fair, the Zoopedia doesn't list them as subspecies- it lists them as populations.

Ultimate animal collection-still no canids.
And how many of them are in that mini-exhibit thing?

Alpacas, llamas, jaguars, cougars, kangaroos, lions, tigers, bears, elephants, chimpanzees, antelopes, rhinoceroses, hippopotamuses, and giraffes are the only large exhibit animals. The rest are in mini-exhibits.

It's so upsetting to see the tapirs in the mini exhibits, they barely have enough room to turn around in them.

That instantly put me off of the game. Tapirs should have been in the larger exhibits, since no self-respecting zoo would ever put animals as big and active as them in such a small space (nor an easily escapable one at that)

Well, that's BEYOND disappointing. :/

Even if I could ignore the lack of deer, horses, squirrel monkeys, canines, and MANY others [seriously, focus on South America and no additional primates???], the tapir thing is just disgusting and it seems they REALLY should have added a Swamp "biome" for them, the hippo, capybara, caimans, and crocodiles. Also, just one crocodile? Reeeaaaalllyyy? Odd choices... odd choices.

About that Matter

Speculation time, in the case we find a way to mod the PC version of the game, the very first thing we must do is this...
...not adding new animals

But...

-freshwater biomes or jungle, savannah, boreal, and Ice Tundra variations that have big ponds for animals like Tapirs, Hippos, Capybara, and for Darwin's sake Polar Bears!

-Change the anteater and Tapir enclosure, they are large animals that need space, and change the anteater biome to savannah.
