"giant" isn't exactly accurate when it only weighs as much as a common vampire bat.

It was discovered a while ago, just barley got described, was actually thinking of making it for zt2 earlier last year along with other St Bathens fauna

We all know that "giant" is used in a relative manner.

A (comparatively) large burrowing bat is a pretty neat find. Just another reminder of how diverse the wildlife of New Zealand was, is, and could be.

Not really, it's only a little bigger than the New Zealand lesser short-tailed bat, and is nowhere near the size of the New Zealand greater short-tailed bat.
