So a relative sent this to me today, and I need some assistance in order to identify the type of animal it is. So far, my research led me to 3 mammals, a Tapir, a Camelid, and a Bison. My relative sent me this from Florida, and asked me what it was. Heres the photo. ![]() |

Teeth look awful pointy for any of those (to my knowledge). Given the location could it be a boar? |

If I had to guess I'd say it's a pig, but the angle doesn't exactly show the teeth which is going to help identify it a lot more than the jaw's shape. |

Has to be a porcine of some type, either a recent boar or an earlier peccary. Leaning towards the latter or perhaps some particularly weird domestic pig. That said, do ask from where it came from or to take pictures from other angles. |

With the information that you have I can barely make an idea, a molar image and some data of its dimensions can help a lot |
