Pull my finger!

A stray cat wandered into a lynx's enclosure, and now they're friends (before the arrival, according to what I've seen on the Internet, the lynx did nothing but pace in its small enclosure)

St. Petersburg/Leningrad Zoo, Russia.

The best way to not get your heart broken, is pretending you don't have one.

My 4-year-old self actually realized this logical fallacy, which is why I always kept something heavy in front of my closet as an extra measure. :P

I never believed in such things
I think parents must somehow do something to imply such things to children or something

growing up with Jehovahs witness parents I was taught from the beginning that there was no Santa, toothfairy, easter bunny, or any sort of monster

to me monsters were just big cool looking animals (I was watching Jurassic Park before I could talk, and Aliens and Jaws by the time I was 10, so I have never been afraid of moneters/monster movies)

I never believed in them either. It was just humanity's ancient fear of the dark and of large predators that was getting to me at the time. :P
