I like it for it's songs, xD There's nothing quite like singing "I Can't Wait to be King" and "Be Prepared". "Can you feel the love tonight" "Circle of Life", "We Are One". Oh, did I also mention "The Lion Sleeps Tonight". xD I know most of them by heart at this point or at least snippets of them.
You forgot.... Hakuna Matata!

No one's got nothing on Be Prepared. Scar's the best. Scar and Ursula. <3

Be Prepared is my favorite from Lion King, and Poor Unfortunate Souls from Little Mermaid is great...

....Buuuuuut when it comes to villain songs from Disney in my eyes neither holds a candle to Hellfire from The Hunchback of Notre Dame

That one's Meh. Poor Unfortunate Souls is the bomb. If I was given the chance to perform as Ursula, I'd do it in a heartbeat. :P

Well it all comes down to taste, I always found Frollo and Hellfire to be interesting as you really see in it how tormented Frollo is by his pious nature conflicting with his desire for Esmerelda.

Plus I like how it touches on ideas of lust, death, fanaticism and the like which you don't really see in any other Disney movies, and heck it's even about his wish to either have the woman or to destroy her so no one can.

Poor Unfortunate Souls is great, and I really like Ursula as a villain and her song is great, I won't go too much into Little Mermaid and critique it too much, it's a good movie, I'd like to have seen some things done differently, and of course it's barely like the source materiel at all, but it was a good movie.

Of all the Disney movies, my favorite with a narrative is Hunchback (if only they had made it so the Gargoyles were in Quasimodo's imagination like it seemed they'd intended I'd have considered it the best of all). Though I still like Fantasia more

Fantasia 2000's Pomp and Circumstance is probably some of the best music Disney has ever made.

Thank you for the set, Azrael!

I never saw most of the Disney classics.

Well, maybe half of them.

It's always hard to tell which are really defined as the classics.

I mean there are the really old classics of Fantasia, Snow White, Pinocchio, Dumbo and Bambi

Then there's the generally meh period after that with Saludos Amigos, The Three Caballeros, Make Mine Music, Fun and Fancy Free up until Melody Time.

Then there's The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad, Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan and Lady and the Tramp, all of these are very good movies coming out quickly between 1949 and 1955

Next is the generally hit and miss section, where films took a long time to come out, and were sometimes great, sometimes real bad, Sleeping Beauty, One Hundred and One Dalmations, The Sword in the Stone, The Jungle Book, The Aristocats, Robin Hood, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, The Rescuers, The Fox and the Hound, The Black Caldron, The Great Mouse Detective and Oliver and Company

Then there's what many refer to as the Disney renaissance The Little Mermaid, Rescuers Down Under, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Lion King, Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Hercules, Mulan and Tarzan, all coming out each year after the last. Many people only count Little Mermaid to Lion King as the renaissance but I'd say despite the others not doing as well, and in some cases being nowhere near as good *cough*Hercules*cough* (well in my eyes), I'd say Tarzan was the last in my eyes. Most of these are amazing, there are a couple that aren't as amazing, but this has many of the best.

Then there's the post renaissance period with many films that were bad or meh, but some gold in among it, Fantasia 2000, The Emperor's New Groove, Atlantis: The Lost Empire, Lilo & Stitch, Treasure Planet, Brother Bear and Home on the Range.

Then there's the most recent ones, The Princess and the Frog and Winnie the Pooh, I like both movies, and would like more.

I'm not counting 3D animated movies obviously, just the fully animated ones.

That's just how I sort them since there are so many, and thus I'm always unsure what other's criteria is for 'classics'

I seem not to know most too many (IMO xD ) of these...I only know:
Snow White, Pinocchio, Dumbo and Bambi (I'm just going to copy-paste those I know by period)
None of the generally meh period
Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan
One Hundred and One Dalmations, The Jungle Book, The Aristocats, Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, The Rescuers (Not sure about this one, I'll have to look them up), The Fox and the Hound
The Little Mermaid, Rescuers Down Under, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Lion King, Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Hercules, Mulan and Tarzan
I seem to have missed every movie after the renaissance besides Brother Bear.

Well most don't really remember the meh period, they were generally weird, like bad take offs of Fantasia, or odd sets of stories crammed into a film and done somewhat ok, but not really well.

And it's understandable most don't remember all the individual ones, I'm an enormous film nerd, so I tend to seek out some of the less well known ones, and for the most part they are not well known for a reason (Home on the Range and Black Cauldron particularly), though in my mind some like great Mouse Detective or The Emperor's New Groove are much more enjoyable than many of the more well known ones, but that's only my opinion of course

I think they have two Golden Ages. Or at least, that's what I heard. The pre-WWII period and the late 80s-90s era. My favorite movies were from those two eras. :3 I think my favorite is Dumbo, but I also adore Bambi and The Lion King.

Thank you for the set, Azrael!

I've only seen Bambi, Fox and the Hound, Lion King, 101 Dalmations, Aristocats, and Lady and the Tramp. I've not seen most of them in at least 9 years, though, but most of them were good. Aristocats was meh at best and Lion King of course tops all.
