Most painful for me was my Tortoise, that beak is pretty nasty, thought fortunately when he went to try and open his mouth to bite further I got my hand away.

Didn't know we were counting insects:
Mosquito
Many Many Ants
Stag Beetles
Earwigs

Feeling concerned because my puppy ate a slice of summer sausage.

Um.. so?

A single slice of sausage one time will do absolutely nothing harmful to your puppy.

Really? Chocolate. I know it's not recommended, but is it really that bad?

It becomes a poison in their systems. It'll become a poison to humans too if you take in too much at once, but the amount needed to poison their system is much lower for dogs.

Indeed, chocolate is pure poison for dogs. Just as most candy.

Chocolate in its natural form is extremely toxic to dogs. Milk chocolate is so heavily processed and mostly just milk and sugar, however, and it would take a very large amount to make a dog ill. Dark chocolate, on the other hand, is more concentrated and just one bar could sicken a medium-sized dog. So don't give dogs chocolate, ever, although with highly processed candies, the risk is fairly low. Our old dog once at an entire bag of milk chocolate chips and showed no ill effects, but had it been dark chocolate, he could have gotten very ill.

That sounded kind of rambly...
