Most of it is due to being overtired, and not having any of my meds for 30 hours. Also just plain feeling like an odd ball. One reason why I hate the idea of homeschooling. Its really caused the whole oddball thing. There was like a 2 1/2 year period where I only saw 1 person my age. Due to not being around people my own age seeing them age I have lost all sense of being able to tell age. I mean some people could be in there mid 30's and I could think there high school students. Which really is starting to scare me.

Yeah, I've heard of that happening with homeschooling... I went to public school, and my boyfriend went to parochial and then public school for high school... we both went to college, but he stayed small and local, and I went to a big State university. We both definitely benefited from having every day social interaction with people our own age.

That's a tough break. Maybe you can undo some of the damage with college?

Nah I'd consider it but my memory is like bottom 6% in the country. They accused me of faking it I was so low.

I'm sorry to hear that you haven't been feeling well lately, my anxiety has been flaring up myself and I know how you feel. What with being stuck in the house and all.

It really seems like homeschooling is quite common in the US? I've seen multiple people online, mainly from the USA. It's not an option here. How do you organize it with teaching? Zoz's mother teaches her (IIRC), but I could imagine not everyone being qualified to teach?

I pretty much did it myself what I did do. I wasn't homeschooled until I was 16.

Actually my mom does not teach. I'm sure it's different for other people, but here is how I'm homeschooled:
I am technically "enrolled" at Christian Heritage School, but here isn't actually a school building. What they do is take care of submitting my records to the state like a normal school. My mom chooses the material I'll be learning each year. She doesn't actually teach. She grades and submits. I learn through several different ways:
1. The computer: I have a program that has reading material, questions to answer, and tests. I use this program for both English and History.
2. Text book: I am doing math straight out of a text book, the same way you would in normal school. I also have a set of videos for each lesson if I need extra help.
3. Workbook: for French, I am using a workbook and CD. Pretty simple.
4. Classes held elsewhere: I go to a church that hosts a school program once a week for art class. There I have a real teacher and all the supplies needed to learn more about art.
5. College tutor: once a week I drive out to a college to have tutoring for Chemistry.
6. Other lessons: once a week I have piano and guitar lessons at someone else's house.

That's basically my year so far. Unlike most people think, I'm not taught by my mom. It's still "real" school. xD

That would be a heck of work.

I would like to learn how to play guitar and piano too.

Well I was home-schooled until Year 4 by my mum. She is qualified to teach so it's a bit different but I know tons of families who are home-schooled here - mainly from church but a few that moved from home-schooling to school (like me) and one family from cricket :)

When I did it, it was basically the same as school but you're at home - so no class, just you and your siblings. That also meant I was the only one at my level.

Generally speaking, homeschooling involves either electronic or textbook curriculums just like everyone else, except it's all mainly self-taught. :)
