Good luck burns!

I wanted to go to college or university - but how can all of you swallow that debt =o.
To be a vet its like 90k. I really wanted to be a vet or a zoo handler but the cost x_X.

I went for something smaller. I got certified as a dog trainer.

Its not bad - I run puppy classes right now, and agility training - I also do in home consultations. Need to do smaller projects as I am also a full time mommy. I got out of working for someone and stated my own company. Eventually when we buy some land I want to do dog boarding - good money in that.

I also hope to start a horse rescue. I grew up in Costa Rica most of my life and worked with cattle and horses. I'm an avid rider and hope to do something special in the future with horses. In Quebec (which is not far) they always have auctions from the horse slaughter house ... so I would love to save a few.

Fridooh will find she can do anything she wants even as a mom - its gets easier as they get on a schedule. I find I have lots of time for a range of things. I mostly do the kids on my own which is tough as my hubby works crazy long hours. He works as a recycling truck driver for the city. I was hugely depressed before we moved to a better area. Its so nice to be raising this herd in a house instead of a tiny town house. Space is an awesome resource.

I finished high school one and a half years ago - Gods, it seems so long ago already :P - and I did one unsuccessful year of biology (First stuff you learn there is that biology is chemistry, ugh) and am now doing geology. I hope to get my bachelor there and start palaeobiology after that.

It's actually pretty cheap (well, compared to the rest of the world anyway). The fee we have to pay to enter uni is €900 (about 1000 USD), plus books/syllabuses amounts to around €1200 every year (that's about 1300 USD), so for a four-year course, one pays €5000 (5500 USD) plus transport etc.

That's still not affordable for everyone (though there is support for people who earn under €40,000 a year), but it's a lot less than what it costs in the UK/US,obviously.

I'm going to see how my musical career goes in the next couple of years. If it goes well I'll probably study musical production. If not, then I guess it'll be something with animals.

We actually get paid to go to university here, but that's a pretty small amount of money. It's only supposed to cover traveling back and forth to school, book and school material etc.

There's also the option to loan money, so you can afford an apartment, food and stuff like that. However, since my boyfriend works full time, I wont need to loan any money. Lucky me :)

I wanted to be a biologist for years. Then I took biology in high school and became thoroughly disillusioned with said idea (I cannot memorize anything to save my life and there's a lot you need to memorize in that field). Now I'm studying computer science and mathematics.

I still have no idea what I want to do with my life (^^<===

I want to go to school to do graphic design fridooh lol! I'm hoping to hit a course in a few years - even that costs 20k here! Canada is lame - your're in so much debt after going to school you'll be living on minimum wage anyway LOL.

I need to move out of country to get a better education xD

I'd love to do graphic designing, but when I try to make something with Gimp, it never turns out great.
I think I'll settle with something to do with animals.

Does anyone else who has an interest in working with animals ALWAYS get asked if they want to become a vet or study veterinary sciences? My sister and I both wish to work with animals but everyone seems to assume that means we want to be vets. :'D
Eh, I get something like that. I love animals and everyone assumes I want to be a vet or zookeeper or something.

(The same can be applied to my love of extinct life and people assuming I want to be a paleontologist.)

What I really want to do is make movies for a living, preferably producing and directing. :)

My plan is to become some sort of graphic designer, but if I could choose exactly what I wanted - I would probably study etiology and focus on feline breeding programs between zoos around the world. You know, keep track of genes etc , specially when it comes to endangered felines :) that is probably my dream job xD

My business is doing well - I have over 50 clients.

Ceaser Millan eat your heart out - ok I'm not that big yet.
I cant wait till the kids are in school so I can tackle it full time.

I want to move away from working with dogs to horses.

For now I'm enjoying having extra time to do things like go on the internet.
I'm really hoping to build enough to do another showing. Thank goodness for Thom because my zoo file corrupted. Thought it was done for...

The problem with vets is that people say "Oh well I hate people so I'll work with animals" except when one of the major points of your job is telling people that you'll have to kill their dog, it's quite a lot of people-to-people.

Oh goodness - the clients are awful. Give me the worst dog ever ... it never compares to the yappy owner that complains on how much she does not want to hurt her pooches feelings.
She bites people - but if I tell her no I'm a bad owner =(. *Rolls eyes*
