Because Australia is bringing more Asian studies into several aspects of the curriculum, we are reading a novel about farmers in China... ...That tells us nothing about Chinese people because it was written by a western lady around the time when China and the west knew little about each other. |

Yay for school! Teaching you useless and/or inaccurate junk (or not teaching you at all) since the beginning of time (or whenever schooling started...) |

Why is it that whenever I get bored I feel the need to go spend all my pointies, just for something to do?! |

Lol, exactly. Hey, your schools are better than ours. My seventh grade history teacher spent half of the year just teaching us about baseball, for some reason. Yeah... that's what I need to be learning about. |

My 7th grade math teacher taught nothing, even my tutors said that she sucked. (Same with my 8th grade math teacher who just talks mainly about sports and yells at me and one of my friends for "talking"....) Anyway what bothers me? People who think they have the right to force their opinions and try to inject them in other people. |

Gah, yeah, I think every school had one really bad teacher and one that tries to force their own opinions on you. The worst with opinions is when it's the Religious Education teacher, seriously who thought that hiring a woman who mocked every religion that wasn't Christianity was a good idea? Fortunately only had to do that for one year. As for generally bad teachers, I don't think any compare to the crazy woman who decided throwing students bags across the room and at them was a great idea, as was screaming at the special needs kids. |

I actually like my teachers usually. My seventh grade science teacher was the best, I actually got to know him a bit and still go talk to him sometimes, and my eight grade teachers were all awesome. EXCEPT MY SCIENCE TEACHER. She had no clue what she was talking about, and if you asked her a question she would answer just about everything except what you asked. One time she said something about sea otters living in Ohio and my friend corrected her because there isn't any sea next to Ohio and she actually kept her after class and ended up calling her an "unkind little girl." Edits for typos. Edited by Farkle, Jul 28 2013, 10:44 PM.

My 7th grade science teacher was very old and it was her last year teaching, so she really didn't care anymore. Each day we got a worksheet, which we would go over and check the answers to the next day, then turn in for full credit. And SOMEHOW students still failed the class! |

My algebra teacher was mean and took pleasure in making students uncomfortable... no surprise most of his class failed. |
