On one hand they could break the the mesh with ease. Yet they'd also probably crash into the glass and get hurt.

I say go for mesh. You can say it's made with some kind of alloy which increases both the flexibility and the strength of the fence via the increase of it's density when it was being formed.

Wondering if I should do a zoo in Florida next. What do you guys and gals think. I have a friend who has a supply of PU foliage that I'd love to use it with. The thing is though I'd want to include vines and or bamboo. Florida doesn't have bamboo. Does florida have vines?

Well Florida climate, especially in the south, allows a lot of different types of non-native foliage to grow. I dare say some bamboos and some vines must be growing there for sure. ;)

Well an Everglades/Keys section would be awesome! Being in Soutern Florida, you could use a lot of tropical animals without worrying too much on huge shelters or indoor exhibits.

Im building a Florida zoo too (LaBelle's) and I already have a Madagascar section built and the next one Will be based on the fauna of several south-east islands : monkeys, babiroussas, tapirs, tigers, anoas, deers, severals aviaries. I guess you can pick some animals from this corner of the world. Indian section would be Nice too. We often see african species in tropical zoos and forgot how many great asian species there is available.

Hope I helped you.

Lol I just posted the same about a florida zoo also. Since its being discussed, I want more of a swampy feel to the area in my zoo. I want to have tropical species but not have to worry to much about hurricanes hitting the city I have it in. What area of florida would you guys recommend? I want to have wetland trees, trees with vines, and bamboo also.

The Everglades sounds like a good spot to me.
