That's great Fireplume i hope you will share it with us ![]() By the way, i'm not currently working in IguaZOO because i have a complete lack of inspiration ![]() Can you guys give me some tips or ideas for building aviaries for: - Solitary crowned eagle - Nacunda Nighthawk - some small owl species - a couple of parrots This is all that i have left to build but i really can´t come up with something that stisfied me. Also i want to remake my pampas deer exhibit but i'm also lacking inspiration for that one So any tip, advice, useful pictures that you can find will be great

I can help you a little (I think)! Pampas Deer are usually kept in medium sized enclosures, with a small amount of foliage cause they can trample it... A lake is quite goo and they usually need a shelter for their privacy... In ZT, you can use Rocky chainlink fences for a small barrier or use moats, you can also mix them with capybaras... A small lake is very good... ![]() ![]() Forget the animals aren't deers... For parrots, you can use small aviaries by what parrot will be keep, if big I think 6x3 aviaries work and for smallest parrots 4x3 or 4x2 Just keep them with foliage, specially dead trees and branches, roots, places for climb and also space for flight ![]() ![]() ![]()

Pampas deer...Do you have lots of space to build an exhibit? If so, then you should totally make one with a large grass field, a small river (with perhaps a waterfall?), a rocky plain with hills and rocks and such. Some dead trees too. The river thing should separate the two plains, and you could make a viewing area in the rocky part, like a large salient which continues with the looks of the plain itself (so that means also some rocks, dead trees etc.). If you want another viewing area, make an elevated one at the grassy side, not with an elevated path but with a cliff, so people go up the cliff and can view all of the plains, while the deer still feel safe. Okay that may have been a bit unclear, but it was kinda hard to explain ![]() I am not sure about what kind of parrots and owls you're talking, but maybe you could make a large walkthrough aviary for the Nighthawks and the parrots and then make some smaller aviaries for the birds of prey inside that larger one? |

Any idea on an eagle aviary? Edit: thanks Stephen. Your ideas are great too! I will sure try to implement some of what you said. Edited by Ignacio, Jul 29 2013, 04:09 PM.

Noo... I'm don't know... But what about a aviary of 8x4/10x6 in a quite big height, number 4 I think, some dead trees, roots, not too much living trees but grasses and bushes? Here is my a foliage combo I'm planning, what do you guys think? ![]() ![]() ![]()

I think it looks great for the pachys ![]() But i noticed that you never do indoor shelters / facilities for the animals. I think that would be something cool that you can incorporate to the exhibits Edited by Ignacio, Jul 29 2013, 05:56 PM.
