Sea otter exhibits always seem rather small, the one we had here was small (quite deep, but still, small) and the one at the Vancouver Aquarium wasn't big either. @Furka: 1m 1f seems okay to me, as beaver families organize around 1 pair + their offspring. |

I would go with something simple, either savana or grassland grass with a few trees now and there and some logs in the ground. The tree can be acacias if you are looking to recreate their natural habitat. Don't forget to make a water pond or small lake for them to bath and play and also make sure they have sections with just dirt so they can take dirt baths. Also the enclosure should be quite large and an indoor shelter (elephant house) is surely need it. I hope it help

For okapi and tiger you should check the fact sheets i made in the Animal Encyclopedia here: http://w11.zetaboards.com/The_Round_Table/forum/3718472/ For hyena it depends of the hyena species. Stripped hyena are more desert like animals, you can have a fairly bare exhibits. For spotted hyenas i would try something like this:

lol i did the same thing with this photo ![]() I also made a fact sheet for spotted hyenas, but since the only ones in game are the striped ones or the brown ones, have in mind that those animals are mostly nocturnal and solitary. So except for the social needs and the need to add shelters outdoor for them to sleep during the day, the rest of the guidelines are more or less the same. Edited by Ignacio, Aug 23 2013, 11:01 AM.

Animal planet?? ![]() I'll try zoochat, and search for certain zoos. And of course Google searching for images always help. And check the fact sheets in the Animal Encyclopedia here. The entries for every animal have exhibit specifications and example images of those exhibits. Also look to maps of real zoos or visit the official webpages of those zoos. |

I'm getting my computer back finally on Monday, and over these last few weeks, this idea for a tropical zoo has been popping in and out of my head Because I am strange I already have a basic idea of the foliage and exhibit type I'm going to use, but it suddenly occurred to me I have no idea what my "primary" biome should be (grassland, tropical, reef, etc.) if this isn't clear enough, please just say so I'm not very good at explaining!
