Well basically, Australia and New Zeeland both have very strict animal import regulations. Zoos can't get every animal they want, only a select amount of animals are allowed in those zoos, which is basically what I'm looking for, a list of animals that are allowed in Australia and New Zeeland :P
Have you looked in ZooChat? I'm pretty sure there was several threads talking about that, especially in the New Zealand forum.
I did, but not specifically in the New Zeeland one, thanks, I'll check it out now !
Here is a good one: http://www.zoochat.com/17/new-organism-species-new-zealand-316839/

This is only for New Zealand, I couldn't find one for Australia.

There is another thread in the Australia forum that talks about current exotic mammals in Australian zoos, so maybe this could help a bit: http://www.zoochat.com/24/exotic-mammals-each-australian-zoo-123597/

very large (SL glass dome should be the best option), coastal themed and with water, plus a few high spots where they can rest safely.

I'm guessing is a tropical dome... so toucans, macaws, ibises, parrots.

Tamarins or sloths might be a good choice if you want to add some mammals too.

don't forget about hoatzin and quetzal ;)

okay, now i have two question:

- what should an indoor area for pinnipeds look like ? it's supposed to be used as quarantine.

- the chainlink fence (the one with poles that match Sophie's light wooden BS) is strong enough for a banteng exhibit ? and for rhinos ? (not on the guests side, i wanted to use it in the background of the exhibit so i can camouflage it with bushes, unlike tall concrete fences)

For pinneped indoor housing go to page 12: http://nswfmpa.org/Husbandry%20Manuals/Published%20Manuals/Mammalia/Californian%20Sea%20Lion.pdf

For the second thing i don't know what fence are you talking about xD

I imagine that banteng would like some wallowing areas. Not sure though.

I don't think that fence is strong enough to hold rhinos (specially and angry or rampaging rhino), but i think it could be useful for bantengs.

^Pretty much nothing is strong enough to hold a raging rhino, except height differences combined with strong fences. I think it's okay if you used a less agressive subspecies, like Indian or White rhinos. Wouldn't do Blacks though.

The Black rhinos I've seen have all been kept in low green fences.
