A not to big one, maybe a barn owl. But if your going for a flying bird, I would add some poles, so they have something to land on. Instead of just the ground. |

I already used those, but I think you are right, owls are best for this exhibit.What do you think about short-eared owl?I will add poles. |

aviary doesn't look large enough for that species. if you still want an owl i'd say Little Owl, otherwise i'd go with the Hoopoe. |

Are there any members from Denver here ? I'm planning a zoo there and I want to get the foliage and biome exactly right, but also, more importantly, the whole feel. Typical architecture, etc. |

lots of ferns and similar foliage they can use for shelter from light, and also for privacy. |

Well kiwis are nocturnal creatures. I would say an small closed aviary with a nocturnal house style to be realistic but i hate closed exhibits
