Yes, there used to be quite a few captive forest elephants in the earlier 20th century. There is only a very small number in captivity today though.

Guys i need your suggestions. I want to build an Indian theme zoo but i have no idea about what foliage, fences combo and building style should i use. Any ideas?

Log fences (Roxa's for example) would be nice I think, some areas with glass fences and rocks as barriers are what I can think now... Giving a dry forest feel would be great, with some bamboo and maybe branches. :)

I think the Cambodia pack could also be a nice addiction if you have it.

Dry forest feel for the foliage i can do and i like the idea, but i still have no clue about what style use on buildings (not exhibits, but buildings like the entrance, or guests facilities) to give an "indian" feel.

@Furka: i'm already using the Cambodia pack to build my Southeast asia zoo and i don't want to have the same style in the Indian zoo.

I could use some good suggestions for a desert themed zoo. It's located west of the Sonoran Desert in Southern California.

@ZooCrazy.
Maybe using white plaster building set, but in a less bright version, with a nice green touch that blends with the dry forest feel/foliage? (understandable?)

Or, a bamboo building set that gives a natural look (and I think, matches well with India). ;)

A "temple" theme could look quite cool?

I don't have any bamboo building set though :P But it doesn't feel like India to me.

White plaster is a nice idea... maybe combined with some red ceilings or details, but like red dirt colour.

Like i said i prefer not to use a temple them again since i'm already building a zoo with a temple theme :P

Yes, not a light strong red, but a more dark, cold red... Ergh, I'm not able to find the pictures from what I think you want now. xD

But i think i know what you mean. Like a dirt opaque white with some kind of darker red.
