I was thinking an puma and spectacled bear could work too. Indian wolves and lycaons are another good options, and also asiatic lions. Animals from the patagonia live in a scruby environment but the wheater there is kind of cold so i don't think they'll do good in the Sonora desert :P (except maybe for rheas and perhaps maras).

Thanks for the suggestions guys. All the exhibits will have indoor areas for the animals to sleep, have privacy and cool off. I also plan on each exhibit having two pools, one indoor and one outdoor. Each building will have an area for keeper access, and it will also be where the animal's food is prepared.

I did the with Key West (Spoilers) but I used a different type of gazelle. I don't think it really matters, it might make the animals feel more at home.

Umm this is an odd question but if a place an elevated path with food on it, will a bird like a vulture fly onto the elevated path?

Don't know about birds, but my macaques climb the elevated paths if there is food on them... but then once they are on them they complain about the biome not being suitable for them and is anoying :P

Not sure where to put this but I think you guys should check this out: Here
It's the website to the Cincinnati Zoo. I haven't been there in some time but I consider it to be one of the best zoos in America, maybe the world. The only reason I'm putting it here is because I get a lot of my inspiration and ideas from their exhibits, so maybe it'll help you guys too :) Anyways, it's a great site, it shows you every animal on display, their exhibits, facts about the animals and is overall very helpful to me. Enjoy :)

Thanks for sharing! It could be useful for the Animal Encyclopedia as well.

What are some specie from the Sahara dessert which would be good in a zoo? And how should I build the exhibits? (I'm really struggling)

Well several species:

- Dromedary camel
- Scimitar horned oryx
- Addax
- Mohrrs gazelle
- Barbary sheep
- Sand Cat
- Striped Hyena
- Ostrich
- Fenec fox
- Other small mammals such as kangaroo rats, jerbils, and rabits
- Tortoises

Like you can see there is a large variety of animals from the Sahara desert. For ungulates i'd make large paddocks with little ground foliage, a couple of trees for shade and some rocks, using sand or dirt texture from desert and scrub biomes. For the barbary sheep though, you can create a rocky mountain like exhibit, with diferent climbing levels and rocks.

For the sand cat a small aviary or closed exhibit with a bunch of branches and rocks to climb, rock caves and just a bit of ground foliage. Again sand and dirt as substrate. Mostly the same thing with fenec foxes although the exhibit could be open i guess since they don't climb like cats.

The dromedary camel exhibit could have a section for camel riding for the kids. That would be cool. You can mix them with ostriches.

Now my question, is ok if i mix colugos with great flying foxes in the same exhibit?

Both are mainly nocturnal, so it could work. With plenty of food at different heights and places, some branches/perches where the colugos wont annoyed the flyings foxes, plenty of cover for the colugos, an open flying space for the bats over the trees and between the trees for both species, you should be ok. ;)

However, you could also have an interesting result with a tree living gliding or flying mammals and a nocturnal forest floor dwelling animal (pangolin, some small deers, etc.). Most zoos tries to offer different persectives to their guests, with animals occupying different strates, so the guest has to take more time to look at the exhibit to fully appreciate it.

That is an excellent idea! I'm building a nocturnal house conected to a flying fox aviary i was wondering what else i could put in aviary. I'm going to try with all those animals, pangolins and small deers for sure, as well as colugos (although i don't have any real colugo for the game) xD

ZC, the link to the zoo I posted has a great exhibit like that. If you need a visual just go to Plan your visit, Exhibits, Night Hunters

Well, you know how tricky and deceitful colugos can be, always hiding somewhere outgame. ;)

Need some help too... Im building a new section called Necklace lake, which is more or less a succession of pearl-shaped ponds connected together by canals (crossed by some bridges for the guests) with a central main island in the middle with a huge gazebo for the visitors. It is located between my Australian section and Indian/South-east asian one. Only need some species now, and also what can i mix together. There should be no more than 8 small lakes, probably more 5-6 small and a bigger one.

Here's are some species i could add :

- Australian pelican ;
- Black swan ;
- Australian shelduck ;
- Raja shelduck ;
- Philippine duck ;
- Brolga ;
- Sarus crane.

Any other ideas for Oceanian and Indian/South east asian species to add? Im looking mainly for birds, but any mammals or reptiles that are no predators would do too. :3 Thanks!
