My local zoo has an exhibit with giraffes, impalas, common elands and helmeted guineafowls.
They have two differend indoor exhibits: one for the giraffes and one for the others.

If you don't wanna do it like this, would I suggest to make them next to eachother
with a clear separation inside or outside:

Look at the last picture in the bottom right corner to see the system.
I think it would be also fine to have just the stables connected to open space.
For the birds: do you mean in the same stable of in the same building?

I think I'll go with a separate indoor area for the giraffe, while the others will be put next to each other and under the elevated viewing area.
For the birds I was wondering if I could keep the ostrich and cranes together in the same indoor area, which is going to be separate from the mammals ones (would need a gate specific for birds, but I'll just do with the ones I have). Guineafowls will be likely left free to get into an area or another. I just don't feel like leaving the animals without indoor shelter, because even if the location has a mediterranean climate, it's pretty humid, and winters can get chilly.
Also, is there a suggested size of the area for the animals ingame ? Like, how many squares would be fine for a zebra ?

It depends on how many zebra's you want to fit in. If you're only going to put 1 per stable, then a 4x4 square would be plenty.

However, I would highly discourage keeping them on their own as they are herd animals so they will get stressed if they are seperated. I would personally go for a communal stable where you put the main herd. Some seperate 4x4 stables for the stallion and pregnant mares could come in handy. As for the size of the communal stables, I say 2 or 1,5 squares per zebra.

Apparently the Mesker Park Zoo had a walkthrough Sitatunga exhibit, only with females though.

Is this true? If so could I do something similar with female Sitatunga and maybe other female Wetland Antelope?

Hey all!

I was wondering… Can Pygmy Hogs be kept in an aviary environment? No other species in mind currently, but I'm struggling to build an exhibit that will give both guests a decent view and allow them to have their privacy, and I'm thinking I could do that with an aviary…

I don't see why it wouldn't work.
As long as the aviary had decent floor space, it really wouldn't be any different than a normal exhibit except for the roof. I would recommend adding some birds though, if only to use all the extra space in the exhibit :)

Does anyone have tips for what small/medium sized mammal can be housed in an exhibit like this ?
I was thinking of putting red pandas (or something similar in one), but I don't know about the other one, had to scrap squirrel monkeys because they could escape from the gaps in the roof.

I think it would be great for Giant Pandas.
