Should I place a spotted bat more in a desert environment or a scrub environment? They normally live in Arizona and Texas, so I'm not sure. :P

Is this a good foliage combo for a northern prehistoric park? If not what should I add/take out?

No, only indoors or temporary in summer months ;)

I don't see the problem with the tropical foliage. People use tropical flowers, plants from the fynbos pack and a collection of others in northern parks. As well, Vancouver in Canada (one of the coldest countries) has artificially planted palm trees all over and they survive so I don't see why the same wouldn't work in the Netherlands

Vancouver has a reasonably soft climate for its latitude though, and the palms (as far as I can find) planted throughout Vancouver are windmill palms and should be able to withstand temperatures up to -20°C (-5°F). Most tropical(-looking) plants are not able to withstand such temperatures though.

@Ztlabraptor: Okay, if you saw all plants as artificial, it would work. But I don't think he was referring to artificial plants ;)

(He doesn't mean artificial trees, but artifically planted trees as in not naturally occurring in the region but planted there by humans)
