Anyone have any advice of a good foilage style for my zoo that's suppose to be in central Florida?

Does anyone have advice for a zoo/rescue center situated in Alaska or the Yukon? Different kind of animals or foliage suggestions?

Hi guys, I need your opinion on something.

So, I'm currently working on an elephant complex (as you may know). The indoor area is almost finished but I can't decide what kind of fence I shall pick.

What do you like more? Of course I will move the tree trunk in the second version, if I choose this one.

I would go for the wooden logs. I think it fits better with the natural look the building already has with the sand, foliage, rocks and wooden walls/roof.

I agree, even if the logs somewhat block the view they fit better with the rest ofthe exhibit.

Thanks guys for your help! After comparing both pictures a few times, I have decided to go for the logs. They really fit better.
Furka is right about the limited view though, but because the rest of the exhibit can be seen without visible barriers, it should be fine.

When a zoo or aquarium includes mini-tanks, how do you handle the cleaning aspects? The entrance platform mars the view and it's sort of hard to "drop in" on target going into zookeeper mode.

I just remove the roof and only put it back in when I need to take pictures.

Best thing to do is have a tank that is not wider than 2 squares. That way you can clean it by just walking next to it, no need to get inside.

I know captive breeding programs exist for several species of Hawaiian honeycreeper, but have any of them ever been on display in zoos? If so, what species?

No good hero is a one-trick phony.

Are African civets good enough climbers that I would need to put a roof on their enclosure?

African civets are like 90% terrestrial and quite large, the only exhibits I remember seeing them in were at Olomouc (netted) and Dvur Kralové (including a non-netted outdoor exhibit IIRC). In my opinion, if you have a tall enough fence I'd say you can keep them in a regular exhibit but I'm not 100% sure.
