I definitely wish we had more Caribbean fauna; I don't think we have much aside from Artifex's old solenodon, and then from the Snake Statue Pack a Puerto Rican Boa and Jamaican Ground Boa. |

Masterchief (I think ?) made some Caribbean packs, and Whalebite released a Caribbean reef fish packs. Plus there should be a few solo downloads that could be used, although I don't remember them all rn. |

Which species of sharks can be kept outdoor in an European zoo? I'm thinking of Germany or Spain (so of course there are differences in climate). |

Hmm, I'd go with ones you can find in native waters, like nursehounds, dogfish etc. |

Our East Pacific sharks are common in captivity and could be kept outdoors, too. Species that come to mind are Leopard Shark, Horn Shark, Swell Shark, Pacific Angelshark, and then of course California Bat Ray. |

On the topic of keeping sharks outdoors, does anyone have a good suggestion for a location where chain catsharks, pajama sharks, leopard catsharks and cownose rays could be kept in an outdoor touchpool? Their temperature ranges are compatible with each other, I'm just not sure of a good location that would meet the requirements. If it matters, there will be at least a partial canopy, but probably a full one. Ideally I'd like a location where they can be kept outdoors year round, but seasonally will do if it has to. |

Perhaps one of the tropical coast maps? Or if you're going for more of a typical big city zoo I'd say a grassland city map should work just fine. I'm planning a prehistoric zoo but instead of the typical tropical rainforest everybody seems to use I've decided to build it on one of the temperate rainforest maps from the CC Holiday Pack. Though for the life of me I can't seem to decide whether to emulate the temperate rainforests of New Zealand or of the American Northwest. Which gives off more of a primeval feel to you? |

I wasn't so much talking which map to use as where to say it's located when I do a show and tell, really. The location may also help decide the name of the place. |

Ah my mistake. Sorry I misunderstood, it's kinda late here and Ive been building a visitor center for my dino zoo. That said, and this is just my opinion, but why not make it local to your area? |

No problem. As why not to make it local, for one, there's already a prominent zoo around here IRL. If it were just an aquarium I'm making, it wouldn't feel so weird, but there's some land exhibits too. Also, I'm far enough north that I doubt the fish I mentioned could be kept outdoors year round. Do you think that if I located it in a coastal area, the ocean surface temperatures for that location would be a reasonable indicator of whether it would be okay to keep them outdoors, or would the difference in volume and/or surface area-to-volume ratio make that a poor point of reference? |

I've seen those kept outside in Florida, anywhere from that latitude should work. |

Just out of curiosity, if I had a breeding pair of cheetahs and the female had already given birth to cubs could the father be in the same exhibit as them or should he be separated. In big cats (Panthera) as far as I know depends on the individual but it's usually recommended in solitary species like leopards and tigers to separate them, does the same rule apply to the cheetah? |
