Genoa's aquarium has a Spiny forest exhibit, where they keep spider tortoise, spiny tailed iguana, day gecko (Standing's if I remember correctly) and jeweled zonosaurus. In the past they also had a helmeted turtle and a chameleon of a species I don't remember (possibly panther).

A lot of things could actually work. One especially is the long-tailed ground roller, Jannick made one awhile back. There's some others but they're all PU. I guess if you know how to skin you could make a Verreaux's sifaka. Other than that, if you're only planning a little section, this would look awesome. |

I'm making a zoo with a style based on the Philadelphia Zoo and it has a Victorian Age style with old buildings and has some new buildings. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks in advance ![]() ![]() ![]()

I was thinking about making a building similar in scale to the Henry Doorly Zoo's Lied's Jungle or the Desert Dome. Granted they would only have a small portion of the animals exhibited but would that even be possible? Would I be able to make a building that large in the game? |

It would be hard but I think you may be able to pull it off. The Desert Dome would be easiest because we already have domes although the Jungle might be a toughie. There are some downloads out there with giant glass roofs although I'm not sure if they're big enough for some thing like that. The foliage you put in side won't help lag either. |

Ive already made a exhibit based around South and Central American animals and that had alot of lag to it. I wanted to try something that incorporates fauna from South American, Asian, and African jungles this time around but the more I think about it, the Desert Dome does seem the easier to accomplish. |

I attempted to do something similar to the Lied Jungle using just African animals and was able to get a satisfying path which wound as an elevated path and then went and reversed and went back in a jungle basement allowing you to see most of the animals twice from different viewpoints. I was pretty happy with the layout (even managed to achieve an upstairs "cave" by putting the jungle in a basement and having a dirt cliff in the building. However as mentioned the lag from the foliage pretty much prevented me from completing the exhibit in a satisfying way. Also there isn't anything similar to the tall tree trunks that function as building columns to achieve a true feel of the Lied Jungle. |

That sounds pretty cool. If I do make a Desert Dome it might only have to be focused on a single area or maybe even a random mix of the three as I'm not sure Whalebite's dome is large enough to cover something that expansive. |

Compiling a list of animals for a potential zoo hypothetically somewhere in Massachusetts. Any recommendations for uncommon zoo species in the Northeastern US? |

Well that's a very vague question, do you wish to have species that are common in Europe but less in America; species that are rare everywhere or species that are only in America but are still rare... because there are tons of species which are rare in America as everywhere else in the world.

I'm pretty sure that there are no bushbucks in the zoos in the Northeast US. Based on the zoos that I'm near I have a list of other animals as well: Spoiler: click to toggle There are a lot more animals than this list, but I know those animals are uncommon for sure

For a while now I have been writing a 'pachyderm guide' basically a how to guide for exhibiting elephants, rhinos and hippos in your zoos. It has both real life and ingame pictures and examples of the points I am making. Also my personal recommended downloads in order to make your creations as realistic as possible. I have a number of questions regarding this. Firstly would anyone even be interested in such a document at all? Secondly if people were interested, where would I post it on the site? Thirdly, if you have any photos of your own pachyderm exhibits and would like them to be potentially included you can PM them to me. And finally does anyone know of any tusker Asian elephants in the zt2 community or someone who can mentor me into making one for myself? |

Your ideas sound really helpful and creative. I recommend asking a staff member about where to post your topic. |
