@Kiwi: Unusual yet possible combinations are Hirola, Aardwolf, Mongoose, Bat-eared fox. Other ungulates should also work well (Gemsbok, Zebra, Kudu (your sister has one from the Marathon IIRC), Wildebeest) but are a lot more common.

Hey guys, i was wondering what would be the best thing for the exhibit close to the entrance for a dinosaur zoo.

@Kiwi: if you are talking about Thompson's gazelles i would use other ungulates that live in the same area in the wild. I would use wildebeest (the ones from WOI part 5a) and zebras. You could add giraffes too and make a large savanah exhibit. But if you want to keep it small you could only use zebras and gazelles or wildebeest and gazelles. I think these are good combinations. You can also use small birds, like guinea fowls.

@ trevelyhn: it depends on the dinosaur. I would use an small dinosaur like leaellynasaurus, minmi or microraptor. Being an exhibit next to the entrance should be something small in my opionion and function like an introductury exhibit to what the park is about.

which of these do you like better? Or do you like them at all?

I like the second one better.

Do people think it actually matters if I make "continent" oriented sections to my zoo or can I just make random exhibits everywhere.

It's your zoo, so do it however, but if you like making stories to go with your zoo its easier to have specific sections.

Thank you for the set, Azrael!

I at first built continent related sections, until I visited an actual AZA accredited zoo, and found out they really don't do that for a lot of animals. It's often rather random.

And Dragonfire, I did in fact mean that keeping those animals together was ridiculous, but indeed keeping any of them in a zoo at all is quite unrealistic as well.

Any thoughts on this? I think it's going to be the final foliage combo for this zoo.

I like the combo, seems like a mix between boreal and temperate.

okay, once I start making exhibits I was planning to thin out the tree's a bit a switch to more of a grassy type thing, that way it looks like the zoo is within a dense forest. If you think I should remove or add anything let me know so I can do that before I start building.

Perhaps a railing like fence along the path so that you don't have the kiddies wandering into the woods.
