I suppose I could do that, I don't really put water in any of my zoo's though... Is foliage the main cause of lag? For instance if i deleted all of the plants but left paths and fences would it run quicker?

Probably, considering that on higher graphics, foliage actually moves, and each foliage place creates coding in the map file. (Therefore they will still be there when you save the game and re-open it) it can cause alot of lag. Obviously alot of animals cause alot of lag for the same reasons. Do you have animation on high? Set that to low (it doesn't make much of a difference) but may help.

I will try that, and Animals aren't placed in my zoo's until I take pictures.

I‘m not sure if it even works, but you could turn your foliage off and do your fencing/landscaping etc and then you could place the foliage of that particular area.

Thanks for the tips, I think I figured out what I'll do.

What would be a good main animal of a primate house featuring many species? There's going to be a least three species, but I need the center piece to be something special. I was going to use orangutans but there isn't a remake for them. Any other ideas?

Gorillas or chimpanzees then? Bear Macaque could maybe also work, even though they‘re not that spectacular.

I was going to say Gorillas or Chimpanzee as well.

well you could put gorillas and then some small monkeys in the same exhibit, or maybe orangutans and gibbons

Chimps could be good... I don't think I've ever even used either apes before! Do gorilla's climb a lot?

They don‘t swing between the treetops, though in most zoos I‘ve seen, they have some platforms and poles. The indoors have hay very often and they have lots of it.

I think I will use chimps, gorilla's, and two other species. Can anyone give me some good smaller monkeys? I was thinking a Rhesus Monkey, and then something else.
