I'm thinking of changing the wood to brick now, but I'm not quite certain, and I still need to add windows/skylights.

...I don't like it. I think the barn walls with wooden stables would look a lot nicer, personally. Or brick walls with wooden stables.

I have to agree with Sheather :/ Those barn fences, at least as far as I can see, are always used for the outer walls. SZE's barn fences could also work very well.
