Maybe a grass of some sort, a fern or two, some rocks and maybe the undergrowth from Wild China and other Wild China foliage, Just experiment and see what you think looks right.

Nothing seems right I looked at pictures of real chinese gardens and they are so beautiful, and mine is so ugly. Plus the exhibit is enormous and i'm not pleased with it... i hate it, but i have to finish before the 7th of this month.. is for the contest.

For the one in Shanghai DV I made, I used the Quila bamboo and Wild China bamboos. Some ferns and that tropical bamboo. Chinese gardens often use statues (I recommend using those in that Chinese theme pack thing) and waterfalls (a pond is a must, you definitely should have one. German 13's water foliage is perfectly fit!). |

I posted my entry ages ago, I can't sit and let something not be done! I stayed up for about an extra 4 hours to finish it! I just couldn't get it right! ![]() Don't worry I'm sure whatever you come up with will be amazing.

i already build a lake, with a walkway and some terraces that are part of a cafe that is by the lake. I will use statues for sure, and maybe i should add some waterfalls... And i'm only using the chinese pine from Wild china, i don't like the other trees of the pack (or at least i don't know how to use them so they look nice). i think i will have to build a gazebo some where too... i don't know i suck at this lol |

I don't seem to able to use many of the Wild China trees for anything either. The leaves to the Gingko and the Rhododendron don't seem to work with anything! I can't wait to see what you do with the Gazebo, I think it is a very interesting Idea! Edited by Cat, Jul 3 2013, 04:12 PM.

I wonder how you'd do a gazebo...There is one at Tesara, but it doesn't fit the Chinese theme. And yeah, I agree that that pine is the only decent tree in there...The Rhododendron and others really only fit in a mediterranean environment... |
