I have similar pessimistic views sometimes, but I try to convince myself that it's just in my head, and that it's probably just a phase that I'll pass out of.

I feel kinda bad since everyone's talking about really heavy stuff, and I'm just gonna be complaining about minor ****, but...

Supposed 'Doctor Who Fans' who've only watched the new series

Russell T Davies

The fact they always put one piece of chicken more than I can eat in a pack, and this chicken seems not to be able to be stored and reheated.

On a more heavy note, my mind constantly telling me I'm a failure and doomed to remain a failure

Well TBH I actually have only ever watched the new series, but It's not like I don't know about or would like to watch the older ones, I just haven't.

Compared to Steven Moffat Russel T. Davies was awesome. I mean, like, in the newer episodes I only ever know what's going on about 30% percent of the time. Sometimes it's so confusing I feel like exploding.

Ok, I'm being unfair, let me expand. And also let me remind everyone that this oncoming rant is purely opinion based. This is just my view of things.

Supposed Doctor Who fans who either refuse to watch the old show, and/or hate on it when having not seen it or only seen small bits of it.

Personally I disagree, RTD's writing style tends to be abominable, Moffat's are more complicated but that's mainly due to the format, he'd be better off writing serials like how the classic series was formatted. On the other hand RTD seems to hold the opinion that Doctor Who has to be a certain way for it to be popular, and that shows up in most of the really bad episodes (Fear Her, Last of the Time Lords, The Unicorn and the Wasp and so on.

There are other major problems too, he tends to go absolutely insane when he's given a show where you can do basically anything, his only limitations being financial. And given that he seems to have no respect for Canon he does whatever he likes. The Master's personality is totally different to the classic version of the Master? Check. The Doctor acting extremely human, as well as mentioning having children despite Time Lords not reproducing like humans? Check. Female Clone of the Doctor? Check. Half Human Half Daleks? Check. Animal People as half the races? Check. Companion who is constantly arrogant and selfish? Check.

Yes Moffat's made bad episodes (Let's Kill Hitler being the most obvious), but RTD's era was just filled with awful, there were a few episodes I really enjoyed (The Impossible Planet and Midnight for example) but counting through all of them, I can only find four episodes I fully enjoyed, while there are over twenty I totally despised (the rest were generally meh). In Moffat's era? Thusfar I only count four, maybe five episodes I disliked, and none of those come from the most recent series.

On the confusing aspect, most of his episodes are relatively easy to understand, ok I will admit River Song is a very confusing character and generally not a good inclusion, but the majority of episodes are self contained or don't focus on her character, and those that do are for the most part passable.

And the other big issue for me is that RTD's screw ups affected the show on a huge scale, he killed the Time Lords, he turned the Master insane, he made the Doctor into a pacifist and a coward, he tried to write in the 4th Doctor's speech about humans from The Ark in Space into every episode, these are things that for the most part either can't be fixed, or haven't been (I would include the 'one Dalek always magically surviving' thing but Moffat fixed that already, even if he did also create the Mighty Morphin' Dalek Rangers)

I'm sorry but I just despise Russell T Davies' era, is Moffat perfect? No. Can his stories be confusing, especially to a casual viewer? Definitely, is RTD better than Moffat? In absolutely no way IMO. Is the Moffat era as good as the classic series? No. Is it better than the RTD era? Yes.

I honestly am annoyed, both Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant are great actors, Chris' character in League of Gentlemen was actually very Doctorish and would have fit perfectly into the show, but his Doctor didn't feel like the Doctor at any point, while Tennant, oh he got the worst of it, sure he had some good episodes, but he got so many stinkers that even a really talented actor like him couldn't make good. It doesn't help that his Doctor was the most inconsistent and poorly written of them all in my eyes (Some people would say the 6th is worse, and I can understand their view, but that comes down to taste)

Well, that pretty much sums up the exact opposite of my feelings. xD

Lol, it's just personal opinion though, but David Tennant is by far my favorite, and I actually think a lot of the newer episodes are missing that sort of quirkiness that I really loved. I mean "The Rings of Akhaten" was probably the worst episode out of all of them in my opinion. Basically there was a big planet with a frowny face and then they had a sing along and suddenly everyone was crying. Then the frowny planet eats a leaf and explodes.

It was dumb.

What do you mean by that? In my place a whole chicken can feed me for a week. xD We store it in the fridge, then microwave it again. And if necessary, we refry it. I dunno, but it seems to taste better over time, haha.

Well as mentioned it's all opinion based, and the concept of an emphatic creature and an empathy based society (similar to the many telepathic societies in science fiction) is an interesting one. Though I will agree that of the latest series it was a weak entry, though it wasn't really bad. It was just next to very enjoyable episodes like the constantly upgrading Cybermen (which did feel slightly Borg-esque but was still enjoyable and felt much more like real Cybermen to me than those in the RTD era) or the Ice Warrior in a submarine hunting down the crew like something from a slasher movie

I've discovered I dislike Miso Ramen today, which kinda annoys me

I generally buy pre-fried which I get in packs of maybe five drumsticks/breast pieces, I can usually eat four at a time so I cook them and eat four, but if I put them back in the fridge for some reason they taste really off when it comes to try and eat them again, maybe it's just my taste buds being picky though

Where's Mr Pig?

Fruit flies, or at least the Fruit flie-like flies we have here also annoy me, we're having an infestation of them in my house, they don't gather in fruit though, they gather in empty and half-empty glasses (Including mine ¬_¬) and in my computer, and they're VERY fast and therefore nearly impossible to kill.

Same with me, it doesn't matter what food it is, chicken, rice, potatoes, after being in the fridge, the taste gets really worse.
Once my domestic Worker, Amparo baked the whole sack of Noisettes at once, but I didn't want to put them in the firdge as they would be ruined, therefore I ate ALL the Noisettes and had a terrible stomache ache, but at least I didn't have to eat ruined Noisettes! xD
