I never said she "should" get punished, I said why is there only one man being demonized for doing something that others have done. George Clooney was accused, Charlie Sheen has done it. I was asking why they are still heroes and role-models and why Chris Brown is the only one being hated on for it.

I'm saying looking at the FACTS and knowing people like her, she probably provoked it as she is the common factor in all of these beatings with multiple different men. But I never said she SHOULD get hit, that's you reading into things that aren't there. No woman should be hit. I just want to know why there's no equal treatment for women abusers.

She also then turns around and makes a song saying "I like the way it hurts" and S&M where "Chains and Whips excite me". Obviously men hitting her is a kink of her's, and she gets them angry until they will.

This line was what made me overreact, just because as i had said we need to open our eyes because when a man beat a girl some people says that it was woman fault...That is low, i doubt anyone like to eb beaten by men, whether they are famous or not.

About it being famous, it merely because that is the example we are giving to our generation, if we allow these types of acts we are never gonna move foward, George clooney, charlie sheen, cris brown all of them should be hated because of that.

One thing that drives me mad is the general hypocrisy of the media, I'm willing to bet if Rhianna had punched Chris Brown (hell by the sound of it she tried to stab him which is worse) she'd get off scot free.

It's just something that really irks me, that if a man ever does something like that to a woman, justified or not and regardless of circumstances, he is then demonized for life because of it, while if a woman does it to a man people may say it's wrong but it'll be blown over.

I'm not condoning abuse in any way, I just get angry by society's double standard. Now we don't know the exact circumstances, but from the sound of it she slapped him first (while he was driving) and hit him with her high heels which is armed assault, if a man did armed assault on another man or a woman and they punched him out that's self defense and justified, so if she really was attacking him like that he had every right to knock her out, was he excessive? I don't know personally.

I was taught when young that women are naturally sweet, loving, sensual, that I should give them preferential treatment, which includes not hitting them in self defense as I would a man.

This was wrong.

Just like men women can be sexist, they can be pigs, assholes, deadbeats, idiots, violent, abusive and so on. Women are NOT more special than men. Women are the SAME as men. And (regardless of my personal gender issues) I'll treat a woman attacking me exactly the same as I would a man attacking me.

THAT is gender equality.

Well typically (and I may be slightly stereotyping here, but generally this is the case) women "attack" verbally, while men "attack" physically. Of course hitting a woman should never be allowed, but honestly, words can hurt more than being hit. Why? Because they leave a lasting mark.

To be perfectly honest, this "gender equality" movement can be taken too far, just like a lot of "equality" movements. A lot of the time people take it further than equality, to the point where it's no longer equal. I mean, some women, you couldn't even open the door for or offer a seat for because they'd take that offensively. I always considered opening the door or offering your seat to a woman or an elderly person was a sign of respect. Apparently now it means you think they're weak...

I got to disagree with you here ;) Because I swear people to death when they act mean to me and I know more than enough girls that would beat the absolute sh** out of you xD . So I don't think that you can say that it's in general that men hit people and women insult people. I do agree with the "Words leave a lasting mark" (Which is why I swear and insult instead of hitting people)

...

Geez, I'm so mean sometimes

You think you're mean? You merely adopted the mean. I was born in it. Molded by it. I didn't know kindness until I was a man and then it was nothing to me but a weakness.

Just had to.
