Wow, that sounds scary. I've never had that happen to me before. Being awake and conscious but unable to move because your brain is asleep. Scary!

It might not seem scary in words but when you actually experience it , you feel like you are gonna die !

Oh, sorry if I came off as being sarcastic. I meant that really does sound genuinely scary! :o

Sleep paralysis.... very scary. I sometimes got sleep paralysis too. I must say it is very scary. Your body can't move and you can't call for help as well. I felt like that I was going to die....
I have this quite often too. The first times i felt really desperate. Then i studied about it in university and i learn what it was... so now every time it happens again is just really unconfortable but is not scary anymore because i know what it is

Thank you for the set, Azrael!

That sounds quite terrifying but I'm sure it's less so when you're aware what it is.

I've heard of it, but never experienced it and really don't wish to. :<

I believe you sometimes also hallucinate to an extent which makes it seem all the more supernatural and frightening.

Having to go to the Mass because I'm not religious -.- And then they want me to sing and praise God as I could show a little bit of respect when I go into a church >_<

I went once, to appease my great aunt. I thought that since she knew I was an atheist and was going only for her she'd be lenient... but nope, open that bible and sing and go drink from that diseased glass of wine-blood.... :x

After that I just refused ever again... too frightening for words.

I mean, that's not the problem. It's okay to go the church. It's okay to believe in whatever you want. Just do NOT expect me to follow your ways and force me to engage in the same actions as you do while I do not believe in the reason behind said actions.

Church isn't that bad, the main issue for me was falling asleep (and that's even in a black church where it's constant music and dancing etc.)

Some believers don't believe in science but have to sit through a class and testing on the subject, doesn't seem like 1-2 hours of church service would be hard. The wine at least at my church was grape juice and was all healthy and clean and they were each in individual little sample cups. And your reading from a book/singing a song. It doesn't seem like much to appease the family.

Though I don't know, I'm not an atheist so I don't know what loathing you guys feel for anything religious. xD

Well, it is different when you don't believe in God. Yeah as far as the actions themselves, they're not horrible, but when you have no reason to do them, because you don't believe in them, and because you disagree with the whole concept of it, and don't want to appease your family because you don't agree with their beliefs, it's a bit different.

My extended family are devout Catholics and I'm a gay atheist; it's only understandable I wouldn't find their church very fun. xD

The fact is that anyone not belonging to a monotheistic religion has to sit through. Jews, Muslims, Protestants, etc... can choose not to go. But, for example, agnostics, buddhists, atheists... have to go.

My point was not everyone believes in all scientific theory either but it's basically required by law that we learn it, that's all I was saying.

And it's not like their asking you to go to hurt you, in their minds, they're trying to make sure that you live in eternal paradise when you leave this earth. Nothing heinous like they just want to drag you there to make you suffer, that's all I was saying.

Well I don't consider scientific theory at all on the same plane as religion but we're getting off topic. We can just agree to disagree here, I think. :)

I would personally not mind to visit a church (and especially a black church) at all. Our masses are all boring, sometimes even in Latin. I have been bored to death several times in church.

But apart from the boringness, our church isn‘t that bad. Priest‘s said that the Bible shouldn‘t be interpreted literally and so on. Teaches some morals and generally is a nice and reasonable person.
