well that didn't stop me from showing some of my old drawings here, some of which i find ridiculous from a scientific point of view, but i still like them as what they are: drawings. now i try to go for more accurate reconstructions (feathers and quills, non-pronated hands, behaviours ...)
no, that's inaccurate

Don't care. ![]() As Sheather pointed out, drawings - and games - are for fun, not education, even though that can be incorporated sometimes too. ![]() I like my spinos with big ol' purty sails, plzkthxbai. |

When someone complained about how my triceratops have one finger less was when i have enough about showing my drawings of dinos. I'm not a paleoartist, i like my drawings to look realistic not accurate. There is a difference. |

The last paragraph makes me wonder if I want to live on this planet anymore. Also, the people who are super strict about accuracy are the ones that make me draw fluffy sauropods and shrink wrapped dinosaurs, just to taunt them. |

Fluffy sauropods. ![]() That's awesome. My seeming inability to make anything awesome in Minecraft. >:[ For some reason I can't seem to make any house perfect or look really epic. It always ends up being derp. Maybe I'm just not starting out with a sound basic layout. Starter House attempt #2 - engage! ... after I study for a couple hours.

See, when I see that. I can the the edit marks around the paragraphs. I have that book from when I was 8 and it says nothing like the 2nd paragraph. All it talks about is how dinosaurs used their teeth/claws to eat plants. |

...which they did not do, being carnivores. I don't see any edits. The distortions appear both around the text as well as the illustrations as a result of being saved as a JPEG. |

You'd better run before Mr. Gorsh sees this post! He'll be on you like an attack dog! @Aardvark: Your argument does not make any sense. While some herbivorous dinosaurs probably pulled down leaves and branches with the help of teeth and claws, these two dinosaurs (and the one pterosaur) are well known to be carnivores. Their anatomy is much better-suited for a diet of other dinosaurs than for a diet of fruit. The only truly herbivorous prehistoric reptile in that illustration is Estemmenosuchus, and even then it was more likely an omnivore. I don't see the point of defending this book, it is quite clearly an abomination designed to warp impressionable youngsters and birth a hatred of modern science in their minds, it doesn't deserve to be defended. Are you implying that if you're not interested in the subject, others are compelled to change it? :L |
