*Only half an hout remains for us to get the Taxi to go to the Airport*
*Father looks at my shoes*
Hey, why aren't you taking your new pretty shoes?
Dad, we are going to walk on the streets wih them, I don't need to look fancy in the streets...
You're taking your new ones
*Is forced to substitue the old shoes with the new*
But Dad, these are way more comfortable!
It is not a matter of what's more comfortable...

My mother is exactly the same!
When walking the street all day, appearance is more important than comfort she says xD

Try getting a job without going to the interview while not in tuxedo. Won't work ;)
And you know, you're judged a lot on the first view (and it's difficult to get rid of the impression you've made) and the first view is influenced for, like, 80% on appearance (as shown by several studies, though I hate it too).

I'd rather wear uncomfortable clothes or shoes than plain ugly ones. Until I get home xD

This damn Crysis my country is locked into.
many people had their lives ruined, and it's getting common to hear on the news of someone who killed him/herself because he/she couldn't last longer.
and now, my favourite fishing shop will close too ...

Such things happen all over the world, sadly. Your country is hardly alone.

I have seen very few annoying adds on my Chrome (which I pretty much exclusively use) since I've installed it on that.

The science and 'non-science' of and behind human nutrition and dietary issues, as well as all the stuff written about it. It seems different sources will always conflict, that all kinds of ideas exist and that little or nothing is really clear. It's all quite annoying. It seems even doctors are many times just guessing...

Also, overreacting.

Last but not least, worrying and pacing around a lot.

When people say that FPS games lead to violent behaviour. When will they understand that video games aren't real life???

I'm not really sure, CyborgIguana. I do think certain violent video games can to some extent normalize and glorify violence, in particular the kind of violence that is neither justified nor licit like the violence that goes with a just war, i.e. criminal, thug and gangster violence (the Grand Theft Auto series being a prime example here). I do think violent imagery can to some extent desensitize people to violence. I also think that there a large differences between people in terms of susceptibility to such imagery and the extent of the influence of such imagery. Some people are much more sensitive to this than others.

Some people who play violent video games do have mental issues that may draw them to such games, but also make them susceptible to violent imagery and increase the likelihood of violent behavior. I think that the high degree of realism in today's video games is not necessarily always helpful. Much depends on the nature of the violent game, i.e. whether the violence is a mobster or criminal type of violence commited by scum and immoral thugs, or whether the violence is portrayed in the context of just warfare or counterterrorism. Especially in the case of criminal violence, I think realism may not necessarily be very helpful. I do believe that most people can separate reality and fiction, but I also pose that people who have 'issues' may not always.

I do not particularly like violent video games and would never advocate them and don't disagree with limiting sales of such games to adults or adding warning labels, but banning goes to far.

I vote we make this an official emoticon

Anyway, modelling bones is annoying, because you have to do each one individually, and if you don't edit each one to look different it looks weird.

Plus, the skeleton I'm doing is huge, so I have to make it detailed.

Yes, you have a way with words I don't...

Also, I just don't like the fact that there are so much violent games. What about educational games which are actually useful?
